It's been a while since I made a journal huh? ^^; I'll try to make them more often, so you can keep updated on my art and future projects. I'll start talking about the art stuff first, so people who aren't interested in my personal stuff can click off sooner~
I've received so much support from the community since I posted my short Pokemon comic earlier this year, I got way more attention than I expected. I just wanted to thank everyone who favs and leaves comments, it means so, so much to me. I plan to continue making art as long as I'm capable of doing so. <3 I plan on branching out and drawing characters from more franchises than the ones I already draw like the Jak&Daxter series or Hamtaro for example. Plus with more original character content wedged in somewhere, like with Loopy or Diesel and Ashleigh.
I'd like to do more comics down the line too, preferably longer ones. But I won't promise anything just yet, as I don't like making promises I can't keep. (If I make a comic I'd want to update it frequently, but with health problems it might be a challenge..)
Also! I've had a lot of people asking if I can make them art, and that's blown my mind a little bit, since I didn't expect to get such kind support for my art. However I'm not currently open for Commissions at this time. Maybe someday down the line I will be... But I do not take requests unless I make a tweet or poll somewhere asking what I should draw.
That being said, I'll link my twitter here as a shameless plug in case anyone wants to chat to me or send me cute cat videos.
Lastly, I want to try to get more art out there, in general. I've been talking with Twilight about making a Patreon, as a way we can spend more time focused on art, and work together more on projects and stuff for you all. ^v^
Onto the IRL stuff now. I've mentioned a few times on twitter my health has been getting bad lately, but I didn't want to get too detailed about it until I knew more about it. I got very sick midway through making my Pokemon comic, having frequent dizzy spells that caused me to stumble and fall down, or suffer migraines that can last for days. I booked an appointment, and after being told I'd need a follow up appointment, I got passed around carelessly by doctors, had many appointments moved around the last possible second, only to finally get seen at the start of this month. I was told it's not anything that can kill me, but they don't have the medical resources available to figure out whats causing me to get sick so often, and probably won't until after Covid is under control.. :/ So until then I have to live with these issues.
It hasn't helped that the people I live with during this time are... bad. I'm worried every day I'm going to get infected with “the bug” because they don't believe it exists, and that wearing a mask is against their rights or something. I must sound depressed, and to some extent.. Yeah, I am. But I'm still hopeful for the future, and I'm going to keep working hard.
