Meanwhile, I usually keep "offensive discussions" away from where I know they will offend someone (with the exception of Youtube. I go out of my way to offend people, there lol) for the sake of not being screamed at... but I wont deny what I think (and would be willing to defend my position... were it possible for anyone to listen to any notion that doesn't automatically agree with what they think.
But then that's why I am a misanthropic bastard, never the less. You can't convince believers that God isn't real (nor can people who believe in Allah convince Christians that Allah was a "prophet of god", or for Hindus to convince either of the other two of reincarnation).
So I have my "free for all zone" where I am proud to be an "offensive douchebag"... but more and more as I get my shit together, after detoxing, I choose my battles a lot better, so to speak.
Anyhow, you do know what is giving you grief, and what's best for your own well being. It's just a shame people feeling the need to leave, due to not feeling their own opinions CAN be accepted. So think it over, and do what is best for you.

You are probably right. I used to be pretty hardcore about arguing religion, but now not so much. And when I was arguing it, it was first as a christian, then as a deist, then agnostic, then atheist... then I just got burn out on arguing it... very shortly before I realized that atheists can be as ignorant as everyone they're arguing against, while some christians have impressed me they are NOT "complete idiots".
I will admit I am pretty clueless about Islam. And I can imagine there are decent muslims (alongside all the droves of idiots in every group who give the group a bad name). I dunno.
