That's enough!

I write this journal because there I have had enough, I address myself to the artists. You post ultra large images without thinking of those who do not have a powerful smartphone or a powerful computer, when I try to open your images it does not open on my smartphone and when I open it on my computer , it blocks my computer and my computer’s internet browser. Please think to the others and post of versions of your images in reasonable sizes. Those who will read this journal, can you please spread the word and share this journal to a maximum of artists? thank you so much

I agree! I commented on this not long ago. If I Remember right the image was 20 some-odd megabytes large, and I couldn't properly view it on my phone X(

I can understand the frustration you feel. For a year or two, I wanted to play Ghost of a Tale, but with my onboard graphics and old video card (which was worse) I could only play it at 320x200. After some time, I was able to buy a new video card and run it at 1080p on a nvidia GTX 1650 Super video card.  I do have a phone but I never use it for IB because I'd miss a lot of the details in the images :/ Phones are basically like computers from the 2006 era, you can't expect a lot from them when it comes to large files.

I'm curious about your computer though, what are your specs?

How to find your specs in windows 7:

How to find your specs in windows 10:

Here's how to check your video card's RAM in all windows versions:

One of the reasons I recently posted such a large image was because I used a large resolution and spent about 5 days painting it. My machine has 32gb of RAM and even that was pushing it a lot. I'll try to work at a sane resolution from now on as it really doesn't add anything but frustrations for myself and others ^^;  Thank you for the head's up!

IB is horrible on phones, when I try it with common browsers. The only thing that's nice, is Opera Mini on Android, with Extreme Mode. It formats layout excellently, and saves data, is faster, but alas, gets buggy as of late. Still good. Though it's also not live. So it loads the page, and done.

:/ Awwr...I didn't know that. Back in 2011 or so I thought the wide spaced layout would work good for phones. I guess mobile browsers changed so much that wide spacing doesn't help as much anymore. With phones, I only use mobile browsing if I have to, but not casually.

If you give opera mini a try, it does a decent job with fitting any website and picture for any screen. It has of course the regular modes, which are live, but not as good IMO.

I just flipped my phone, and it works better like this, but it needs two hands. So it's not bad, but on a site like this, one handed mode would be necessary, cause the other hand is - lol, needed for fapping. xD

LOL!!!...Oh you!! :D

So "live mode" means that javascript can change and update the page? Like the portal or notices page that gets updated every two minutes?

Just stating the priorities ~ :)

Exactly. It's in the Data Savings setting. The Extreme Mode is also pretty cool, cause most of the time you can go back(and forth) to the previous page (even multiple steps) without any loading, whatsoever.

Then the High Mode works like normal, but with less data saving, and 'Off' is obviously no data saving, no ad blocking.

No ad blocking? Boooo :P  High mode sounds decent. I tried opera browser for windows, but it kept showing popups and nagging me so much that I had to uninstall it.

I still prefer the (S)extreme mode, cause it's easy to click to the wrong place ~ but at least you can instantly go back. The other modes load the page again. Also, with extreme mode, I sometimes opened up 99+ tabs in one session, and could easily go back and forth them. Meanwhile the live modes reload the oldest tabs when you click them, so that probably is stored in the memory, while the extreme mode content on the microSD, encrypted of course. It's just so much more stable, too. But alas, less and less websites support it. Some don't even load. And some also block access, cause the data compression encrypts the whole thing, and shows the ISP as "opera proxy".

I'm not really having problems like that with Opera on W10. Though if they phase out data saving on desktop, there won't be much reason for me to keep it. I dug deep into it and set up everything to my liking, so it works great for me, gladly.

The thing about me is, that deep down I understand the whole tech thing, but when it comes to explaining, I'd make a horrid teacher, I'm afraid. That's not too good for communication. But I learn rapidly, and have plenty of curiosity.

All in all, I just called the High/Off/Automatic Data Saving modes 'live', cause I don't know the right term.
I'm tech savvy I guess, but could use some defragmentation. xD To fill in some gaps. :)

Tech is always changing. It's a paint to keep up with sometimes unless you use it all the time. Live is close enough :P

FYI, there's an option to select picture resolution in every image you click. I suggest you... try & use it?

The only thing you can do is not open the entire picture I guess? because at least here on IB the picture without touch anything is the lowest quality.

I've never had anyone mention this to me before. I didn't know this was a thing (I thought uploads resized themselves). :o

Of course, my art is bad enough no one wants to see it anyway, so maybe that's it! XD
