Holy shit you guys! I knew that this was going to happen at some point, but given how busy I was over the last few weeks, I almost completely forgot about this!
So basically, what happened was I wrote a short horror story earlier this year. I did this as a basic idea that I had for quite some time. It was originally for a collection of short stories, that I hoped to make into an anthology book (If I'm able to write a fair number of short stories, then I might end up doing that in the future. Who knows?), but so far, I've only been able to write one called 'Confession'.
I won't go into details, but I will say it goes into the story about a boy in school who wants to confess his love for a girl. That's all I'll say about it. I've posted it onto the Library of Shadows sub reddit around April. Here's a link to the story if you wish to read it (I might put it up on Inkbunny, but for now, it's only available on Reddit):
So I put the story, thinking nothing of it. It was a cool idea, I wrote it down, and if it got popular, it got popular. If not, it's whatever. At least it's out there. But then at the end of May, I got a message from a user named EmilyRose91, asking permission to do a reading of my story. I granted her permission to do so and she said she'll link the video to me once it's done.
I went about my days, just doing my thing. Music, surfing the internet, work, other things like that. I got so focused on them, that I completely forgot about the message.
So when I got a message on Reddit, telling me the story reading is out on YouTube, at first, I didn't know what she meant, but when I saw the comment, it all flooded back to me. So I gave it a watch, and my God, I was amazed. This reader put so much emotion, imagery and the likes into her reading. I was getting vivid images of the story itself, even though I'm the one who wrote it!
I won't go into details, because I want to share it on here for you guys to hear it. But I thoroughly enjoyed the story's reading. I never thought I'd see the day that somebody would read one of my short stories, but I'm over the moon about how it turned out.
But yeah, here's the reading below. HUGE shout out to Dead Leaf Clover on YouTube for the reading:
