So...
I figured out why my room has been so god damned hot.
So my house has two thermostats; one to control the main living area (living room, dining room, etc) and the other is for the bedrooms.
Sadly, the bedroom thermostat is located in my room mates room. When they installed their window air conditioner, they forgot to turn down the thermostat. So while they had their unit on, the baseboard heat was kicking on. Since they are rarely in their room, they never noticed it.
Yet in mine, my room was constantly feeling like a sauna. That's why at first I thought my window unit was starting to fail. In turn, it was trying to combat the base board heating.
Since base board heating is EXTREMELY efficient, the heat was winning. So during the day my room was fine since no one was in the house and their A/C wasn't on. Yet when everyone was home, my room would get hot cause their A/C was tripping the heat.
Just.... god damn it. ;~;
