It makes things a lot easier. I've had too many mass-watchers, so that was the primary reason. It also is a better way of keeping-track of who I want to see what I submit.
Edit: I would do FA the same way, but they don't have such an option. Next closest is preventing "guest" users from viewing my page and blocking mass-watchers.
