Now I've been relatively silent about this, but I feel like now is a good time to bring this topic up. I don't expect many people to comment, but that's not the main point of this journal.
As some of you are well aware, the world is currently in a dark place with the COVID-19 pandemic. It has shut down many facilities, caused so many cases and deaths and has multiple countries into lockdown due to health concerns. The UK has only been on lockdown for 1 week out of 3, but I believe the lockdown has gone on 1 week too long! I'm sure those who are in lockdown in other countries also feel the same way.
So this is my journal encouraging a favor from you guys. I've come across a fundraiser page on Facebook working with the World Health Organisation, all donations, and I'm quoting from the fundraiser page, "support efforts to track and understand the spread of the virus; to ensure patients get the care they need and frontline workers get essential supplies and information; and to accelerate efforts to develop vaccines, tests, and treatments."
Now I believe this is going to help out a lot of people and a large group of donations can kick off a huge snowball effect. If we all donate, we can help WHO track the Cronavirus and how it's spread. If the virus is tracked and understood, the patients of the virus and the people working in the front lines, e.g. doctors, nurses, care staff, etc., can get all the essential needs, supplies and care that they need. And eventually, once everybody gets the things they need, we can focus on getting vaccines and treatments done in an attempt to fight back against COVID-19. And once all this has been accomplished and COVID-19 is either cured or at the very least, weakened, then the sooner we as a society can get back to the way things were. It'll be slow and difficult, but I truly believe this is possible.
I've done my part and donated £20 (or $24.91, nearly 25 dollars) to the cause. Following this, I've shared it on my personal Facebook page and invited EVERYBODY on my friends list to donate to the fundraiser. So I ask that the people who follow me on DeviantArt, and pretty much ANYBODY who comes across this journal, to help the cause out. If you're on Facebook, click the link I've shared below (don't worry, it is a legit page) and donate to their fundraiser. Even the smallest amount of money you give can help out when billions of people are doing the same.
Once done, I'd encourage you guys to invite your family and friends to donate too. Share this journal even! The more people that are aware of this, the more donations can be made, the more progress we can make against COVID-19. If you don't have Facebook, then I would still encourage you to share this journal. Repost it if you wish! Just as long as the word gets around!

I've donated some money myself and am putting a metaphorical flare up to get more people involved, so that we can get some work done in regards to the COVID-19 issue. Would you guys do the same?
