Gore, the worst kind

ripping and tearing.

such wantum destruction that the form of a person no longer resembles anything that once lived.

the disassemblement of man.

in a way it appeals to me.

its the boundary between what we accept as life and what we accept as non-living.

many years ago ghouls was a play on the concept of this barrier.

nowadays things run much deeper AND literal.

it's no longer a question of heaven or hell or even birth and death.

nowadays it's the pure recognition of resemblance.

what is a face? what is anatomy? is it human-like? is it animal-like?

where's the line drawn?

where does soul become matter?

to me it seems very subjective.

and even to questions the boundary is madness.

i don't dare to experiment but I understand the thinking behind Dr. Frankenstein now.

surely if the parts assemble correctly you have a machine.

are we all just machines or are we more than that?

do we find whimsy in things to complex for us to understand as a whole?

and therefore is it possible to simulate it?

replicate the vast complexity of what nature has created using knowledge.

a synthetic human.

not just a synthetic human body, but a synthetic human soul.

what is mind? what is matter?

if we can destroy the structure of the matter, why are humans untouchable?

aren't they also just matter?

is the mind nothing but matter so vast and complex we can't see the wood for the trees?

to find that boundary where the mind is no longer a mind and now purely recognised as matter.

to find that boundary where matter is no longer simply matter and now universally seen as mind.

Thank you for visiting my TED talk lol.
