Bit of an Update

Hi all.  Thought it was time to post another update.

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who still favs and watches me here.  Even though I've not posted anything new in a long time.

I've been doing a lot of thinking about some of the things I've drawn. For those who remember, I posted a lot of Cream the rabbit in the past.
I originally started drawing her to get a feel for a comfort zone.  But every time I did there was always a nagging discomfort in my mind.  I'm still unsure about drawing her aged up or at all.  Tbh, I'm still unsure.

But, overall I decided it best to stop drawing her and Vanilla.  I may draw them, more age appropriate, but that's undecided for now.

Just this morning I made a discovery that much of my work, including the images I deleted, ended up on e621.
I'm not happy about that.  Mostly because they are posted without my permission.  Some are paid commissions and I'm not comfortable about the client(s) character(s), or their paid commission, posted without either of us knowing.
But hey, if they want to post their commission up there, I'm okay with that.
If I decide to share my stuff on e621 or anywhere else, I'll do it on my terms.
But for now I don't really have an account there too share or post my work up.  Mostly because I don't want to. I usually go there for references and inspiration anyway.

I'm going too try drawing more Sonic fan art later in the year.  I think drawing some of the cannon characters will help me work on creating some new OCs and ideas as well.

I've had a few of my commissions put up on e621 without my knowing. Frankly, I thought it was flattering. Some of the comments were flattering too, and one thing I do like about e621 is how candid and unrestrained the comments tend to be. I like the critical honesty, and it's usually pretty funny too.

Cream has personally always made me feel at least slightly uncomfortable to see in NSFW, even when aged up. Aside from being the worst character ever in the series that contributes literally nothing, her entire identity is that she's a useless five-year old. It's just weird to me.

I won't deny, part of my inner ego was flattered and I liked some of the comments.
But I still don't like that it was all posted without my knowing.

I even tried doing some consensual themes with Cream.  But even then I still had that negative feeling tugging at me.
So I'm just going to listen to that TUG from now on.

that seems reasonably understandable. i don't know if you can contact a moderator of e621 to have the images removed or not (i think you can otherwise people would be uploading patreon exclusives there all the time )

You can.  I went ahead and contacted them about it, the mod even has accounts on all the other fur sites.
So I went ahead and asked them to remove those posts.

I was really surprised to see my OC and some of my canon or canon x OC commissions show up there, but overall I was flattered and the comments were supportive.  I figure if I share them here on IB, where anyone (18+) is welcome to see them, or on Twitter, where even more people are, I would simply create an e621 account so I could comment too or answer questions.  So far, so good.  And there really is a lot to see there!

Were I an artist, though, I would first decide if I was comfortable with my art on e621.  If yes, great!  I'd make an account and maybe help correct tags or credit issues (the tagging system there is very elaborate to say the least).  If I was not comfortable, I would request the e621 admins to put me and my art on the DNP (Do Not Post/Publish) list, which they do enforce.  The instructions are:

"If you are an artist or publisher and wish to be added to our DNP List then please either file a takedown request and state that you'd like to be added to the DNP as well, or write a short note to one of our accounts on other furry pages ([FA], [IB], [DA], [Weasyl] ).  We do not give DNP status to anybody except artists or publishers."

It's nice too see that there is a site that supports the artist.  You don't see that with many sites.
