FCN 2012 Review

Alright, so here's an overview of what all happened in my experience at the con.

Got to MI Wednesday night and stayed at

poofyknave and

donaruie's house while we had a brief reunion, in which I petted many cats and got ramekins and a thong I'd left there from ages ago (lol). Woke up Thursday morning and was treated to a pound of steak with eggs for breakfast, which is more protein in one day than I think I eat in a month! It was delicious and bloody and great.

Arrived at the hotel/con and had my awkward first-day time where I forget how to be in a crowd of people. First people I saw were

jynxkitty and Foz, and we stood in reg line while discussing ass claps (idk).
Hung out a lot with

akagen and

naore and had many a hilarious and enjoyable conversation. Watched him make sweet personalized hats and things. Then we ran into

suna either Thursday or Friday night and I found out she doesn't hate me. Watched Suna get drunk a lot and draw FUCKING AMAZING ART HOMG. She told me she loved me a lot, ha ha. Then we had lesbian cuddle time and I touched boobies. We probably said the phrases "I wish

brightfire and/or

jaslyn were here!!!!" about two million times over the whole weekend. Also got to text an artist I idolize on Suna's phone (it was

ginahyena), so cool.

I'd told my dad what kind of convention I was at, because he's a really cool and open-minded kind of guy. Then I get a call saying he wants to go to the convention, and I'm like "...Oh, okay." So my dad showed up Saturday night, ha ha. He loved the fursuits, and we had a good talk about family and life. He enjoyed it so much that he came back Sunday with my stepmom in tow, and they went around artist's alley. Then before I knew it I was standing next to my parents while they looked at horse dicks, and gave it compliments like "It's interesting, I like what I see." WHHHHAAAAAATTTTTT Then they looked through Gen's folders and I watched him die of embarrassment, ha ha. I feel guilty for laughing so hard about it, but I couldn't help but find the whole situation just entirely insane. My parents are pretty awesome people.

I also met three different people I used to go to high school with that turned out to be furries. What are the odds?! One was

runik, but I don't know the other two's FA pages. But seriously, just wow. One guy was a person who's house I used to go to for Christian youth group even, lol.

Let's see... saw

arty83 and hung out in his room a bit. We played Trauma Center, and realized Wiimotes are hard to use when you're tipsy. Also I fell asleep in his room one of the nights, because holy crap tired. Also saw

windresistance and we caught up on life and things. I didn't end up getting the details of the commission he forced me to take money for though, but it'll happen eventually.

I met

wildrabbits in person and recognized her art, and that seemed to just make her day ^_^ She was super cool to hang out with, and we left feathers from her outfit everywhere on accident, especially when we were drunkenly rolling around on the hallway floor, lol.

Also, Jynx told me randomly that my butt looked big, which apparently was really upsetting while I was drunk. I went around to a ton of people in the con and asked them if my ass looked big, ha ha. The consensus was no, by the way.

And lastly, I managed to make enough money in the Artist's Alley that I broke even for the price of the con! A 9 hour drive's worth of gas AND hotel costs AND registration, and I beat it. WOW Can't even express the flattery I feel in that.

...Wait! Speaking of flattery, there was a fur who was the ultimate in flattery that talked to me. He said it was an honour to meet me in person, and even asked for an autograph! I didn't and still don't even know how to say how special and unexpected that was!! And I can't remember his username ;_; I know his icon is a cute little yellow fox, and the name is on the tip of my tongue >.< If I'd slept more than 4 hours a night for the last week I think I'd remember it, but my brain is just fried. So please, step forward so I can be properly flabbergasted at you, yellow fox!!
