I lost one of my baby birds this morning. I mean, he wasn't actually a baby but he was my baby boy. He passed while I was holding him in my hands, warm and safe.
Don't know if it helps but by some philosophy and physics nothing ever really dies. All things can be seen as data which can never truly be destroyed. Entropy is but the measurement of Hidden Information.

Nothing ever truly dies by certain perspectives. The universe exist on many layers time by certain standards is an illusion and information is intricately linked with entropy. It has always aided me in viewing that the dead are but hidden behind another layer.
Some could see it as mere mumbo jumbo but it corresponds with physics as we know it today. If it helps then simply recall that even should you forget a detail of your lost one to remember that it is never truly ever forgotten or lost merely hidden.
