As you may guess, I'm not much "journal" person, so this is special case.
Lately i found myself sorta "depleted", so I started to seek inspiration in uncommon sources. 100 Gb of pure indie-games i never heard of, and about most of them I really don't wanna hear again =/ But there was some neat and promising examples, one of which leaves me with very strange feelings.
I'm talking about "Common Grounds" http://fupoco.com/common-grounds/ First of all - this thing is gay. I mean really gay. Flamboyant behaviors of characters is breaking force of gravity, fly through space and stay hovering in orbit of Uranus. One this makes a miracle this game got to me. And even more surprising - this is very good visual novel. It has good game design, decent writing, light interface and very relaxing music for setting up a mood. I feel somewhat sorry that i'm not a target audience, so i can't appreciate some core features, like bromance and other smut (it's actually unusual - playing dating sim without raging boner). Ofcourse game has it's own problems. Definetly need improvment in graphic and director departments, relationships need more emotions and gameplay must be more explorable. I'm not sure if art-design is intentional or just happened, but it can be polished, especially dicks (I don't know does gays think it's important or not, it's just my thoughts that "eye candy", whatever it has tits or pricks, must be at least accurate).
Despite flaws In the end game leaves an aftertaste of quality so I really don't mind play another game from developers. The only thing I'm ashamed of - I'm played in pirate version. Yes, this is 3 miracle - in the century of Internet communism where everything shared by everyone, i'm ashamed for getting something for free. So i decided to compensate with only option broke artist can - i'm gonna draw. So everyone who read this, thats my deal: you buying yourself copy of this game, take a screenshot of your favorite moment (with you character name in it), show it to me and I'm drawing anything you want me to draw. So you get good game from fupoco and not so good art from me - at same price. And please don't cheating or you will be beaten (i'm joking ofcourse ^_^, but getting your IP not will be a problem)
I found the game by chance, fired it up to see the sex scenes, then suddenly I finished the game and it was 4am. So, today I bought the game, because more like this please.
