Burton's First Molt

Burton molted today. I came home and thought he was dead until I reached inside the tank and realized he was awful light, and then I realized it was empty, shed skin! Sure 'nuff, I found the genuine article inside the decorative T-rex skull, alive and well. Boy was I relieved.

I bet it felt great to get out of that tight suit. Is Burton a snake, spider, Amway salesperson, or something else, I guess I don't know of him.

Oh how wonderful, a roommate of mine (ages ago) had one in the house we shared. In Winter he ordered crickets to feed his pet during the cold spell. It was so funny, you had to order 1000 of them, and moving them from shipping container to a aquarium was harder than we thought, several escaped and lived with us in the house in total freedom. Gosh I miss living the hippy life.
