The State of Half Pints

It's been a good while since the last post and just wanted to update everyone of a few things.

The hiatus was originally caused by a heavy burnout on art. Forcing myself to both draw and write these posts together at least once a day and slowly turned into "get it done as fast as possible" and stopped being fun.

I had a few burnouts like this previously in the series, but the difference here was it hasn't gone away. I kept looking at the cyoa as something I wanted to continue, but would dread the thought of doing so. I tossed around ideas on discord about having only sex scenes get art while the rest is text only, but that would neglect the players here on inkbunny.

Then my server got reported by a user within it and I nearly lost my account. Then real life circumstances changed so that I don't have much time and energy for drawing at all. So having art at all is seeming less feasible.

The three main choices going forward seem to be:
-Find a discord alternative and go text-only for consistent and quick updates with no burnout
-Find a discord alternative and have only sex scenes be drawn, with large gaps between sex posts
-Continue here with full art, but only have a maximum of one post every one or two weeks

I don't know what to do

Personally finding a discord alternative for sex scenes or just sticking with ink bunny might be your best bet. Ultimately, you have to do what's best for you. Especially if this burn out is consistent. We'll be here to support you no matter what.

Stinking to Inkbunny might be the best bet, with the art being reserved solely for sex scenes, the only drawback will likely be the lack of live updates. The second might be finding a Discord alternative, but that will be fairly difficult to find, especially one where the admins actually know the difference between reality and fiction...

Ultimately, do what you feel is best for you, we'll be always be here for you, man.

I know you're aware, but Foal Party is a great alternative to Discord. I think what's best is to do what feels right for you, not what you feel might be right for fans. If discontinuing the CYOA is what it takes to get back on your feet and relieve some pressure, then so be it.

I'd definitely like to see the story continue however works best for you. You could still use Inkbunny and post portions of the story as picture descriptions or journal entries.

In my, infinitely small opinion, I perfer story over pictures. So if you decided to switch over to say Fimfiction and write entire stories, or even turn it into a small story with lots of small mini chapters, I would love that.

Pictures are hot and nice, but without a story to go with it, to me, it's less interesting. With words you can express more, go into how their thinking how their feeling, how it feels for a virgin to be fucked, compared to a well seasoned gamer colt. Pictures can't capture those kinda emotions.

So I wouldn't mind a well updated story, with maybe pictures of the sex scene added in later when you have the time, want, and energy to do so.

You do whats good for you, I'd be quite happy with slower updates to see it go on as it's been, myself, but I'd always be good to read text only too.

One thing that a certain server I know has been doing rather than posting Foalcon directly is posting extensions to URLs, so that the image you are sharing can be easily found, rather than embedded. Maybe try that~
