As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I've been thinking about what I want to do with my Patreon account. Well, after a few weeks, I think I've come to a decision.
I have decided that I am going to maintain my Patreon page (for now), but I'm going to be making some changes to how I'm going to operate it. Because my need to make extra cash isn't as high as it was last year, I'm going to do something similar to how Kitsuneyoukai runs his page (which means I will be operating it as more of a 'tip jar' than anything else. This means that I will be changing from a by paid submission charge to a monthly one). I also plan on adjusting the reward levels, also adding special bonus rewards to those who donate a certain amount. For example, for every $25 someone donates to me, I will offer those patrons a free story request...with a couple of other special rewards on top of that (those have yet to be finalized though).
Another way I will be changing how I operate the page is the content I put on it. The Patreon page will be reserved for early-release stories and Patreon-exclusive content (which will include alternate versions of stories, WIP versions of certain stories, and even some Patreon-exclusive stories).
It should be noted that all of these are preliminary ideas I have. I still have some work to do before I feel ready to implement any of them, so any changes won't happen right away (it probably won't be until later this summer or early autumn before the changes occur).
Anyway, I think that's about all I have to say for the time-being. For those of you who are curious, I am working on the Patreon version of the Savannah's Heat ending. It's getting close to being done, and I'm going to try and have it ready to be published there by the end of the month. Otherwise, I have some other non-Patreon related stories that are also in the works, including some that should be ready to be published soon.
