So this past weekend the Ludum Dare 44 gamejam happened and I participated with a group of friends! Considering it was the first gamejam ever for half of our group I'm fairly happy with the results :D check out our entry here!
Looks cool! That's neat you found a team to work with. I've really got to find myself such a group and dip my toes into a gamejam. It's something I've always wanted to do, I do miss my hackathons from college; congrats!

Good luck if you decide trying to find people to participate in a gamejam with! There's a game maker's toolkit gamejam coming up in july and I think that's a fairly popular one. I'm still thinking about whether I'll participate in this one or not. I have never been to a hackathon but from what I gather the concept is fairly similar, so I'm fairly certain that if you enjoyed doing hackathons you'll enjoy participating in a gamejam ^^

I've been wanting to, but been having a hard time building up the motivation to get into things lately. It would help me, I think, if I had a team of people that all wanted to do it with me and held me accountable...
It also doesn't help that I have a job interview coming up that I'm also not prepared for; a lot of conflicting interests! So I do have a high admiration for those who can have the discipline and courage to just get their hands dirty and get something out there~

Speaking of the extra credits gamejam, I talked with one of the people I participated in that one with and we're going to participate in the GMKT gamejam this year! So knowing that we'll participate, and since you've expressed interest in participating in a gamejam and needing a team, I thought I'd propose if you wanted to participate with us?
