The Arms Of Core


The Chaos Opposition Response Effort is the name given to the armed forces of the galactic center. Utterly unstoppable with it’s full power and attention directed onto one target, CORE itself is a incredibly well organized effort managing the herculean task of bringing law and order to the entire galaxy. With countless solar systems of resources to work with. Due to jurisdiction alone the entire operation can run without need of taxation or government intervention. It has historical ties going back millions of years to the foundation of interplanetary society. According to legend, it’s creator and leader to this day is the starwalker Debbys.

Drones: These automated first responders see heavy use in assisting CORE forces in the central systems, yet to the outskirts of the galaxy they are the only form of law consistently seen. Being as small as a sedan or large as a whale. They are equipped with a direct feed to the central galactic network enabling them to be constantly monitored by manned forces and to communicate for additional support when backup is necessary. Without the proper implementation of prisons most criminals apprehended are locked to face punishment within their bodies until they have paid off their debt to society.

Deputies: Though uncommon in the center of the galaxy, they represent the bulk of CORE’s manpower in the skirts. For those repeat offenders who are judged to be certain to return to crime again they are instead conditioned to serve the law instead. Micro-Weapons: Only possibly wielded by the deputies and Sherrif’s of core. These armaments do not get their name from their size but rather the insect like microbots that assemble into their every component. Adjustable and reusable. Each weapon commonly used by the organization can be assembled within seconds and weighs hundreds if not thousands of pounds. For Sheriffs given the proper authorization. Each weapon can use as little as micrograms or as many as two pounds of antimatter.

Mole Launcher: A enormous lance like drill spanning eight meters in length for the average humanoid. Composed of dozens of basketball sized smaller drills. All together they can burrow through solid bedrock or the armored hulls of ships at up to thirty miles an hour. However the risk of crushing or otherwise being trapped beneath rubble makes this an uncommon tactic best used in desperate situations. Each mole drill can be shot off like a projectile, and can drill through the earth with similar speed to the full weapon. Exploding like a bomb with enough force to destroy buildings. When powered with small quantities of antimatter an enormous swarm of microbots will assemble around the weapon. Increasing its size practically indefinitely depending on the available machines. Before sending thousands of moles raining from the sky.

Dragon Hammer Rifle: With a five meter long hilt and a three meter long, barrel shaped head with the front face of a dragon and the rear end of a rocket engine. One of the most adaptable weapons used by CORE, it can shift between hammer mode and cannon mode. The hilt retracting into the device before acting as a grip for the shoulder mounted gun. Each six inch long dragons fang in the three rows along its mouth (adding up to 102) Can be fired with a mix of rail gun and ballistic technology, carrying an explosive payload. Able to fire all of these rounds in the span of six seconds.

The entire dragons head, one third of the hammers actual size. Can be fired attached to a nigh unbreakable pair of chains. On impact biting down with enormous force, able to set up a follow up hammer blow or retracting in on the user. Alternatively all the teeth can be primed at once to cause a building busting explosion. The head can be remade within three seconds, and all it’s ammo replicated within half that time. Able to fire endlessly with a slightly slower rate of fire. Thanks to the augmentations of core operatives, virtually all targets within line of sight are subject to extremely accurate sniper fire. If a small quantity of antimatter is used in the engine, a blast will trigger a swing carrying more than enough force to knock targets into orbit.

Wrecking Ball: A ball up to five meters in diameter, capable of rolling itself in any given direction and attached back to the user with a heavy chain. It’s top speed is fifty miles an hour, which is typically enough to lift a user into the air to use as a form of locomotion. Able to be swung like a flail or detached for multiple weapons at once. When antimatter is used in this weapon it will detonate very directly akin to a bomb.

Starblazer: This extremely controversial weapon emits white hot flames with a range of up to one hundred meters. Baking targets a thousand times over, so hot that it typically runs the risk of their every last PERV being disintegrated unless if a lower setting is used. If supercharged with antimatter then they will cause PERV’s to outright explode, causing a chain reaction capable of taking out entire cities as each blast triggers another from the nearest creature.

Tornado: With two settings, capture and kill. The tornado is either able of sucking in targets with a similar range of the starblazer. Spitting them out the other side completely restrained and immobilized. If instead fighting against mechanical opponents, tornado can grind them up like a wood chipper. Turning the shrapnel into high speed projectiles fired in a massive ark like a shotgun. When powered by antimatter it can create short lived twisters, tornados, or cause a hurricane of such biblical proportions it can steamroll entire civilizations.
