I want to ask that everyone who reads this take a moment to be still, and reflect on the loved ones in their life...
Last night Bastion's uncle, Franklin Lisandro Pacheco Bello, joined the currently unknown number of people killed by Venezuela's electricity crisis. He required dialysis, and with no power to operate the machine, his life was cut short...
He joins at least 13 others who have died from lack of medical care in the past 4 days. He was not out in the streets protesting, he was a kind man who needed medical attention, and the failures of his government took his life away...
With only two days left before he leaves, Bastion will never see his Uncle's funeral. Given the scarcity of food and supplies, he may never see his family again either. He is with his mother, his aunt, and his young cousin, the last of his close family, spending what time he can with them now.
I know I have already asked, and so many of you have already given, but if you are able, please give to his GoFundMe or PayPal. Even if you have nothing to give, please share his journal and let others know what is happening.
I'm sorry to hear that it's sad when goverments care more about money than the people they are supposed to take care of. I also have to say I feel really bad that He's not able to see his Uncle for the last time. I'll share but sadly I only have like 3 watchers so I don't know if it will do any good what so ever
