Hey everyone, following up on "Leaving Home..."
Bastion is going into the fourth day now without power, but he was able to check in with me this morning. He was absolutely blown away to see how much has been donated, how many kind words shared, and so many journals, tweets, facebook posts... I'm sure one of you fuzzballs has sent out carrier pigeons at this point, and it really makes us both smile. You've given us hope that we can survive this and reach the other end.
I wanted to update everyone here, so you all know how much has been given in the past 24 hours:
44 people have donated $2072.00 to GoFundMe
33 people have donated $2030.15 to PayPal
That's an absolutely jaw dropping $4102.15 from 77 people in one day...
At this rate we might have the money for this whole ordeal by the time he lands in Columbia. You have no idea how much your love and support has helped us to reduce the stress and fear going into this.
