Feeling a little conflicted...

After writing and commissioning artwork of my character Shar, I find myself very much attracted to this feminine male version more than the bombshell I initially made her out to be. I would very much like to write more about Shar as a femboy but I worry if that might be insensitive to both the character and to trans people in general. But femme Shar is just so, so, so cute and I can't decide!

What do you think?

Worrying about what other people want is going to end up leaving you dealing with something you don't want to deal with yourself with a character that is no longer fully yours.  Instead, they've turned in to something that simply caters for what others want.  And then going in one direction could end up upsetting someone who seems to think that what defines them and their choices are the fictional characters of other people.

Go with what makes you happy, what you want the character to be :)  There's nothing wrong with wanting to refine or adapt a character to fit with how you envision them, design isn't a simple start stop process, it is going to involve a lot of change and adaption.  And if some people get upset with that, then they can be upset with that.  If they don't like it, they can make their own characters for it.  Your characters, your world, should be the way you want it to, let them have their own interactions and backstories based on what you are wanting to create, not based on "but someone might get upset or be offended so I better not."

At the end of the day, Shar will be Shar.  The defining feature of the character isn't what's between their legs, it's how you portray them as a character :)

Shar is your character, Katie, no one elses.  You get to have the say of what happens with her :3  If it turns out some people can't accept that then they only really cared about the looks of the character and not about the character themselves - and what they represent and reflect in the person that created them.
