Someone copied my art >.>

Any idea who drew this or where it came from? -> https://www.dropbox.com/s/4uujl05awdkwlga/4c9bc5d3d07ee...

Even if it's not a direct trace, it's a pretty blatant rip-off of this pic I did

I'd like to find the artist and talk to them directly ^^

I appreciate that everyone has to start somewhere with their art, and this isn't the first time my art has been copied/stolen. If anything, I'm flattered that I inspired someone else. But the thing that bothers me is that this person's art is getting shared around like it's the real deal, when in fact they are simply stealing ideas, poses and anatomy from other artists and that's real cheap.

You do realize you can't copyright an idea or pose, right? It's very obviously not a trace. I can't find a source on it, so I can't even determine which one came first, but at most it's simply referenced. If they did reference your art (which again, I can't prove or disprove), then common courtesy would be for them to state such, but as it's not a trace or edit, they technically haven't done anything wrong.

I appreciate what you're saying, and you are right, but having looked at the other art they have done, it's clear that they are using other people's art as a basis for everything they're drawing and I have no idea if I've been credited or not. I'm not saying I want to copyright a pose etc. it's just unfair that someone who is ripping off other artists is being shared instead of the originals if that makes sense. Artists work hard to create new concepts and draw new things, and then someone just comes along and takes what they want? That's poor sportsmanship.

I see what you're saying. If you have a source, could you contact the person about it? Civilly, of course.

Not to be rude but this feels like a stretch.its the same idea but it's not traced. You don't own the idea of two men sharing a dildo. This feels petty.

I'd have to agree with the others. While it does look slightly similar its not a ripoff. Never know they could have just seen the image on a google search and drew inspiration from it. Creators do that all the time with everything around them.

Try a reverse image search. My guess is someone commissioned them and said "I want these two characters doing *this*" and linked your pic.

I don't understand people saying this isn't a blatant copy. The position is basically the same, the studded dildo is the same design, the controls for the toy look the same, they clearly saw your art and copied it. It's not like it's just two images of characters sharing a dildo.

I tried reverse image searching it and couldn't find the artist though :/

they used a similar idea but didn't copy anything. you cant own a pose, they are allowed to do that.

i think that you are mostlightly right about this pic being used but i dont really think its a problem because he clearly have skill to draw art on there own

they used your art to get the angles right but the pic is compeltly there own from a art point of vew ?
for example i have asked peaple be for if i can us there art to draw a pic in the same kind of poze or what ever and all so i am much badder at art so my art tends to be more exact to the others art but yes in one thing

if he used your art as ref i do think he shold have said so even if he not asked he could just say this is the pic i got inspration from its what i do any way
