2019 Year of the Lion?

RAWR to you and yours fellow fuzzies!

This year has been one wild ride, full of ups and downs, good and bad, barks and meows. But like always we continue to charge ahead and look forward to the upcoming year facing us just around the corner. Every year we always say or at least hear people say "This year is gonna be...." or "This year I'm gonna..." but if I have learned anything over the years its that things hardly ever go to plan and you just have to adapt and roll with the punches. So instead of me making those kind of statements I figured I would just update all of you as to what I know I will be doing for certain next year, in regards to con plans, life and all that is rawr!

I finished off my 2018 convention tour at my hometown convention of Anthro Northwest. I haven't been keeping up on posting post-convention journals so perhaps I will try to better myself at doing that for the upcoming year. Brief summary of the convention though, it was their second year and a great success having already outgrown the hosting hotel and made plans to move into the brand new currently under construction hotel next year for a thanksgiving time feast! This also marked the first convention (home town wise) that I was able to fursuit! Was great to represent the lions in my own rainy world of Seattle, and I hope to do so again next year considering the GOH's will be two lion friends of mine Kijani and Kitwana!

Like before I had fun but given that it is still a relatively small convention and growing it was more low key than other cons I have attended, nothing wrong with that but it was a bit strange winding down my convention year there instead of at Midwest Furfest (which I ultimately had to cancel). And it was also the first time since my first convention I attended that I had gone solo, none of my usual travel buddies were able to attend for various reasons but there was no chance I would miss out supporting the con.

Now onto the future!

For 2019 my convention schedule isn't nearly planned out as far in advance as I normally plan these types of things out, for three reasons: 1) I will be starting a new job in the upcoming year and will most likely have to build up time off in order for me to travel 2) I will also be leaving the rain of my home town and moving down to San Diego. 3) As briefly stated up above my usual travel companions to cons are occupied with various circumstances that need to be addressed before they would be able to fully plan out more cons than just the few we have already discussed. And because of that I too am going going to more than likely commit to the cons that were already planned prior to life happening.

So what cons do I have in store?

2019 cons (to be edited as needed):
1) Further Confusion
2) Furry Weekend Atlanta
3) AnthroCon
4) Midwest Furfest

The list is unfortunately smaller than normal but as I said life comes first and I cant set everything aside to just go and have fun and lion things up 24/7. Still though, the year has yet to begin and things can change for the better and who knows? I might attend more! But that's the roar in a nutshell for the time being.

Lastly, I would like to thank all of you friends, followers, artists, and suiters who I have had the privilege to meet and know over this past year and the years prior to that. This fandom and community truly is special to me, makes me feel myself and at home, and without all you wonderful furs I am not sure I would be able to fully go forward with my head held high after all life has thrown my way. I am truly thankful and proud to know each and every one of you and hope that the good times we have shared will roll on into the new year.

Until next time though, stay furry!
