Arguably furry, since Wine often has an animal on the label

On a whim (inspired by a discussion about one of

's characters) I thought I'd try making some wine just to see how easy or hard it could be.

It's worth repeating that the biggest chore in fermenting anything is keeping all the equipment and containers clean and sanitized. I really hope I got this part right!

Ingredients:
- Welch's Grape Juice - this is a helpful cheat for a first timer, it's already at least pasteurized, so boiling won't be necessary.
- Yeast
- A bit of (bottled) water to help get the yeast started

...and that was it for my first batch. No sugar. I used bread yeast, and likely too much, as I thought the first packet was a dud.

Put it down to ferment on 19 Nov.

Yesterday, 23 Nov, I couldn't see any more bubbles coming up. I figured it was finished fermenting.

Today I transferred it to a clean jar to separate off most of the yeast, but I think it could stand a pass through a coffee filter to be sure. Tastes like wine, though it's not sweet and has a strong smell / taste of yeast.

Final results pending, but it's not hard to do. Takes more patience than anything else.
Documenting your efforts will help if you're really going to get into it.
