Thinking about reducing the size of characters

First off, a definition.

" Power Creep: A process that occurs in games where new content slowly outstrip the power of previous alternatives. This leads to players abandoning previous options in favor of the latest and more powerful alternatives, resulting in an inevitable increase in power throughout the game.

This concept applies to a lot of things beyond just video games.  I've joked about "Nori-Creep" before but to put it simply, people are drawing their characters larger and larger, including me.

The TL:DR is, I'm considering reducing the excessive attributes of characters like Danund/Danielle, maybe even the Watmel girls? And saving the more massive sizes for special occasions/commissions. Maybe even just designate certain characters as "yes, they are that big, and it's an oddity in their world" type deal.

It's not like I'm deleting my gallery and starting from scratch or anything, it's just fuel for thought.

You hide a LOT of detail behind breasts, dick and balls. And maybe that's all people want to see when it comes down to it.

Scaling things back is definitely doable, you do hide a LOT behind all of the, well, everything. There's lots of options for either temporary shrinkage or part-time bigness, to play around with huge characters able to manage non-doorbusting sizes, or more reasonably proportioned folks to hit the fun furniture-cracking bigness when required/desired/inconvenient/amusing.

Variety is the spice of life, and some difference in builds mixes things up and keeps you from getting stuck in a rut. I'd say consider how a particular character got to their current level of excess; accidental size creep, or deliberately chosen? Have they reached a stable plateau of size, or do they just constantly accidentally grow? If you try to reset them smaller will they just creep back up, or will you be constantly fighting the urge to do so? If it's just desire to show off the parts covered by hugebits, there's nothing wrong with having a version with them turned down or transparent to show finer details

It's the "every day can't be Christmas" problem. The reason huge sizes are interesting is because they're unusual- they shock us, surprise us with the sheer size and proportionality. But that can't go on forever, and the more people who do it, the less effective it is. It's diminishing returns to the max. So it's worthwhile to fill your cast with characters who aren't huge in this way, giving contrast and creating a situation where each character helps sell the others' largesse.

I think the big question is, how much reduction are we talkin' about? XD

After a bit of thought, Probably a substantial amount to Danund, and slight amount to Danielle. Their "At Rest" sizes is what I'm adjusting. The Watmel girls I'm gonna keep as is. And overall just be more conscientious of sizes.
