I don't really use IB much, but I think some folks follow me on here and not FA, so I figured I'd let everyone know on here what's been up with me lately.
I just got home yesterday after being hospitalized for nearly 2 weeks. I admitted myself to the ER when I wasn't able to breathe laying down and found it very hard to breathe even standing up. Turns out I had fluid in my lungs, caused by congestive heart failure...yay me!
After numerous test and procedures...I'm a medical mystery. The docs have no idea what the root cause for my congestive heart failure is as all the usual causes just don't exist in my case.
Luckily I'm being treated with meds and on a strict diet, as well as having to wear a LiveVest for at least 3 months to zap me back to life (hopefully) should my heart stop.
So yeah, there it is. Oh yeah, and as grateful as I am to be alive, I can't go back to work anytime soon which means I won't earn any vacation time for next year. In turn...no furcons for a long time...fuck :(
