Game updated & FWA

by
I'll be out of town at FWA this weekend, so I may be slow to respond to emails and stuff.

It's my first furry con and I'm excited. You hear so much about them, so I'm trying to remove any kind of expectation and just take it all in. Hope to see you there!

~~~~~~~~GAME ISSUES~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, so this has been one fun and frustrating action-packed thrill ride.
As has been requested, I will release a demo. In all honesty, I should have done so before finishing the actual game. It's standard procedure, how game developers catch all (or most of) the crazy system errors before launch.
I got a hold of a windows 7 machine and experienced firsthand how uptight it is with permission levels. I thought I was doing what Microsoft recommends and asking for 'user' level permission when installing the game, the lowest level. But by doing that with the program files directory, the game never receives permission to read and write files! In its own directory no less! How is that a security threat?! I think they're being overly cautious, but who knows.
It is fixed, but now has that annoying vista-style pop up when you run the installer with "Publisher Unknown, do you trust them?". Looked into how you get to be known and it seems like you have to pay a lot of money to be verified. May have read it wrong.
The weirdest part about this has been that everyone who's messaged me has been able to play through to some degree. And last night when I tested on a windows 7 box, I wasn't even able to install the thing without changing directories. And when I did, I couldn't get it to run cause it couldn't read the ini (game settings) file!
It concerns me to the core that people who've bought it may have had the same trouble I had on win7. I spent all day fixing it and sent it back out to everyone. Thankfully half the people who buy it tend to email me with feedback, but it's that other half I worry about. I want to make sure everything's cool.
Well, see you next week, hopefully with a demo.
