I have some explaining to do, I guess.
Commissions: I've really stepped back on the commissions front. A lot of what I'm doing lately commission-wise is private art, because a lot of the ideas I'm more interested in working on are either super indulgent smut or feature Bit... or both. Mostly both. I made Iota to take Bit's place in that kind of thing but I guess I'm not the only one who doesn't like him as much as the Real Boi. But Bit's in a strange place between my personal fursona and a character in my universe. I have plans for him in non-smut general-audience type stuff and I'm a bit hesitant to put up much of that material. Ultimately he's destined for very non-18+ work and I'd like to limit how much smut of him is going to be 'out there', so to speak.
Bit's universe: I've been working a lot more lately on fleshing out the universe Bit lives in, and I think it'll shape up to be an interesting one. There's a lot of world-building to do when you're trying to make a galaxy worth of stuff. For now, all that's important is what has an impact on the core story I want to focus on, but that still means making sure I have some groundwork laid out for a lot of species, planets, history, civilizations, technology, etc before I can really be sure the story itself is rock solid. It's fun, but a lot of work. That work isn't for nothing, though, because...
The Game: Yup, I've been working on a game again! Not the 2D sidescroller I threw out there before, but a 3D one this time. It's still in the planning and prototyping stage, really tinkering with things to try and figure out how the heck to make Blender and Unity play nice. I have a vision for the game but it's early on and I'm open to changing a lot as I go, so the core gameplay might shift quite a bit, but it's definitely focusing on the digital familiars, telling a story and having fun with them, killing some viruses and doing some oldschool style running and gunning through nifty levels.with unique powers. There's a lot on my plate putting this together so I don't expect to have much to show for a while. I just wanted to bring it up to say I'm not just wasting my time doing nothing. There's definitely some stuff in the works and I hope it won't be too long before I can start showing it off~
