Hurricane Florence and Updates

Hey, everyone. So, as you all know by now, Hurricane Florence is threatening the Carolinas and put them in a state of emergency. Florence is making landfall late tonight/early tomorrow. I am located in Winston-Salem so I'm going to be heavily affected by it too (of course not as much as the coast). We're set to get severe flooding and high winds, so I wanted to update you all that I might go off the grid for a few days, or maybe even weeks, if the power goes out.

Keep an eye on my Twitter here. I plan on making updates about our situation whenever possible. We've made all the necessary preparations and should be just fine! Can't do much about lost power though, and will have to wait until Duke Energy restores it in our area.

Cell signal won't be lost. They all piggy off each others towers and those things are made to withstand way higher winds.

It's not strong anymore. Weaked way down. Major hurricanes are only 3 and up. Just a big storm of wind and rain now. Course with it stalling out there's gonna be alot of rain.

It's already weakened severely and the eye hasn't even made landfall. The front that was over the eastern coast really tore into it. All it is now is just alot of rain with a large storm surge. Winds are nothing more than what the SE states deal with on a yearly basis with storms. Yes its still 100mph, but we've had way worse in stronger storms that held together better. Still obvious be safe and if there are outages it'll be the worst for the residential areas. They'll have commercial and business sectors back up in a couple days. Why I never understand why people always flip out and go stupid buying excessive supplies. It just causes a backlash and shortage when people actually need them. Course this just age, experience, and knowledge of meteorology showing. Still be safe and bring ya water wings if go outside. ;p
