First things first, writing this Nightfury story(that you can start reading here: https://www.sofurry.com/view/1348882 ) made me realize how fun it is to do projects that I have full control over, but which pertain to a theme(In this case, httyd) that you folks are passionate about. I'd really like to do this more often, but as it stands, commissions are still my bread and butter income-wise. But does that have to be so?
Not if you step in.
Sure, you may think, "But paying for content to see/read in advance is silly, as I eventually have access to it for free," and I'll say that you are right. However, helping your favorite artists gives them financial comfort, which in turn leads to more content created, which benefits the whole fandom in the end. I don't want you to pledge on my Patreon solely for the reward; I want you to do it because you like my content. That's what a Patreon pledge should be about. A "Here's some money to help you create more of the good stuff", as that is what differentiates it from commissions.
As to what I do on this mysterious Patreon, here's a brief list:

- I actually wrote a "Scales and Honor" fanfiction (Find the original material here: https://www.sofurry.com/browse/folder/stories?by=3... ) because I've spent hundreds of hours editing that novel and felt the need to have some fun with your favorite paladin, Arcturus. Quite some nice M/M moments between a human and a gryphon in there
- I post commissioned artworks that feature my characters being cute or being lewd. I've quite the diverse bestiary at this point, and I really like using Patreon funds for that purpose :P
- I constantly create short stories and story series featuring various pairings and kinks featuring my characters, or OCs created for that very purpose. And you get the chance to both read all this stuff in advance while also providing me with support by making a pledge.
