Now a little background.

Sammu is from Dong-Wu, a mountainous ancient China theme region, where he learned Meridianism, which is physiotherapy similar to Shiatsu and uses pressure points like acupuncture.
Then he became an ambassador for the Caprini (dangerous sentient wild goats) who live there and traveled to Meddia, a modern day themed nation that likes Caprini, to discuss politics.
However, recently Meddia bombed Monstera, a jungle themed nation with weird creatures in it.
Though they weren't the target, many of the Caprini living there were harmed in the attack.
With this also being the ancestral home of the Caprini in general, this was intolerable and Sammu had left Meddia in disgust on his way to Monstera to help his fellow kind via Grenwuld, which is a medieval fantasy themed naton and the starter location of the roleplay. It also didn't help that in the time Sammu spent in Meddia he'd also managed to start a rather successful criminal organization there and this was a good opportunity to escape the heat of the police that couldn't quite pin anything on him.

Clereen grew up in Meddia as one of the many Kanfel that call it home, however historically anthros and especially Kanfel have had conflict with the humans that dominate Meddia. Whether they're enemies or friends really depends on who you ask as some Meddians still rant and rave about waving the war flag whilst others are so used to the Kanfel's presence it's not an issue. Kanfel can be found in rather numerous amounts in Grenwuld as it's their ancestral home and they make up the majority of the population because of it. Clereen is headed to Grenwuld to escape the prejudice against her race in Meddia and find somewhere where they are liked which Grenwuld certainly is. Also, she's sick of all the processed foods in Meddia and hungers for the taste of real meat.

The two of them met up in Meddia by chance and after learning that they both intended to head to Grenwuld decided to travel together since they were both on their own. Yes, except that Sammu wasn't alone and abandoned his closest friend, partner in crime and a regular Lothario, Soubi, who wasn't told about this and was left to tend to business on his own in Meddia.

On their way to Grenwuld sailing the ocean, Clereen raided the pantry and ate all the food supplies for the ship leading to the pair's capture with the intention of their arrest in port. However, Sammu was able to escape when the ship landed dragging his new friend Clereen with him to an inn in a shady part of the port town of Saltwater City.

Both kinda out on a limb at the moment they hope to seek work in something rather dangerous or at least Sammu does. Clereen is just more interested in using the money to buy lots of tasty food.

-----Roleplay Begins (Floppy's Turn)-----

*Clereen pulls her hand away quickly* What the fuck are you doing?! >:C I have enough trouble as it is and now I am not only a criminal but a RUN AWAY criminal! <:'( what am I going to do?

-----Jay's Turn-----

You were the one that stole the food not me. I'm simply helping you since you don't seem capable of helping yourself except for helping yourself to other people's food of course.

-Floppy's turn-

You need to eat to live you know. That's not my fault. They had plenty and they wouldn't share. >:(

-Jay's turn-

Yes, I've met a few people with that philosophy but me I'm more of a supplier than a taker but those two make great bedfellows.

I think this might be the start of a strong friendship, the two of us on adventure together in a strange land struggling to get by.

-Floppy's Turn-

Ga-bu-I- FUCK YOU! :s

-Jay's turn-

Well you're not going to just go over there and turn yourself in now are you? What would they think?

Best thing you can do for now any road is to disappear and lay low.
You can always find a way to reason with them later when the Gen are more agreeable.

And for that my friend I have the solution since I know a way out of here to a camp outside the city where I'm sure I can convince them to let you stay a while.

- Floppy's turn-

*Sigh* laying low like always <:( I guess you have a point and I appreciate the help but I'm nto sure you can get anyone to accept me. It never ends well. kinda like what just happened

-Jay's turn-

Yes. Meddia's not kind to your kind is it?
But Grenwuld is different, Monstera too.

You'll see. People can be much more agreeable here.

Us Caprini aren't the best friends of your kind nor you us but if you say you're with me I'm sure they'll look past it. Maybe so the other way around too. You could help me fit in here.

-Floppy's turn-

urmm...I dunno... <:( wait... why would I trust you anyway?! >:(

-Jay's turn-

because i'm the only thing that stands between you and prison right now. lest i remind you of that

-Floppy's turn-

well LEST should we do now?

-Jay's turn-

First thing we need a party headed out of town to mingle with. I have robes to conceal my face and if we're part of a group instead of a pair they're less likely to stop us and ask questions.

They only saw you once before we reached port so they'll easily mistake you for another kanfel but I'm sure a Caprini wandering around town would raise an eyebrow.

-Floppy's turn-

well its gonna be weird walking around like normal. Don't think I have been able to do that for years. But how do you go about asking a question like that?

-Jay's turn-

Since news hasn't traveled here yet i'll demonstrate.

*turns and talks aloud the room*

Excuse me. Is anyone here travelling south? As a Caprini I'm a capable warrior and will secure your journey in exchange for free bed and board for me and my companion here.

*muffled whispers*

(A Caprini here? Traveling with a Kanfel no less. Stranger things indeed.)

*a man in the corner sipping a beer and looking rather disheveled gestures the pair over*

There. You see.

-Floppy's turn-

0_0 *ugh* -_-' subtle much?

-Jay's turn-

Oh come on. Like somebody in the inn hasn't already taken note of seeing a caprini at the bar.

(Subtlety is slow and we need to move before the Gen arrive here questioning people about Caprinies. They're probably already following the trail here.)

So let's go see what this gentleman has for us shall we?

-Floppy's turn-

*Clereen groans and follows you to the man* "to what do we owe the pleasure?"

-Jay's turn-

" I gots a special sort of cargo that be needin' passage to Saltsmarch.
Folk on the road be likely try to see to it themselves.

But should ye get my cargo safely to my housin' then a share of the earnin's shall be yours.

Saltsmarch a pretty common place for rogue types then?

" More than ye know.

A fair few caravans've been raided in the area so business be slow.
Nobody darin' to travel that way, not with a wagon no less.

Grant me passage and ye will have a good word in from here.
Be shape to get ye business in future on my word alone.

Thank you but we rendezvous further inland. We're not looking to start regular business in the area.

" No worry at all.
I be knowin' a tradesman headed to Templeton soon I mean to rendezvous myself.

I can give you good word to them for my safety and they'll surely send ye further south on that.

-Floppy's turn-

wow a good word already. that's pretty good to start X3

-Jay's turn-

Only provided we get him there safely with all his cargo intact remember.

Protect missions are much more tricky than a simple kill you know.
You and the enemy aren't the focus of the mission, essentially you have to be somewhat expendable to ensure someone or something else's safety.

So are you the kind who's good in a fight, dog? We'll need the both of us for this.

-Floppy's turn-

well first of all of course I remember I am not a fly. secondly you didn't tell me you killed someone before. thirdly I don't really care about my safety I risk my life every day and calling me a dog like that is racist. *sigh* -_-' yes I can handle a fight GOATy man. When you have been through rough patches like me you have to in order to survive. this will be a piece of cake. how long do I have to be with you again?

-Jay's turn-

I didn't mean- well, never mind what i meant. we are partners for now and so we'll just simply have to get along wont we? we're herd animals after all aren't we? I'm willing to overlook that 'goat' remark for now for that.

Secondly, that is a good question. How long sir?

" Usin' the port gates it shouldn't be more than a few days. It's longer when ye have cargo.

-Floppy's turn-

how much cargo have you got then? If there isn't too much I could carry it over some crags to take a short cut :3 oh and I don't mean to be rude but...I kinda eat a lot so we are gonna need good supplies to last days on a journey. I don't think I have ever spent so long on one trip without starting to starve to death 0~0

-Jay's turn-

There's no shortcuts without the gates and that risks bringing a person like me to the public where i'll be seen so he must at least have a wagon which i believe he said about.

" aye. just the one.

Right, so we head straight through the town to the district gate and then onto the city wall.
Then we have more freedom of movement but every detour makes it take longer, they're well-beaten paths for a reason. Unless you're planning to lumber a wagon's worth up and down several hills and leave the wagon behind doing so.

" nay be doin' that.
wagon cost me more than shipment.

So there's no shorter cut at least from here to Saltsmarch and you don't really want to leave the grit in marchland so none there either. That makes a lot of sense why your carts keep getting attacked around here then with only one due course. But should the wheels be clad right we could wander along a stream or two though they're going to lead away from the delta road so that's only to arch around bandits by meeting up with joining roads and travelling back.

" mighty strange but aye that'd work.
if ye can fend off the wild beasties.

Sir, I'm Caprini, we eat those for breakfast.
Any complaints partner? it will take a slight bit longer but it's safer.

-Floppy's turn-

I LITERALLY eat them for breakfast. more beasts means more food on the go so I like the idea :d also I kinda didn't understand a word you said coz I don't this area sooo... whatever works for you I will follow. I am much of a leader.

-Jay's turn-

Well, looks like we're set. Away to the cart and away to away.

" blessin' ye stranger.
That's Cappie can ride in crate through gates and the mansfriend be riding up front.

*all leave to the wagon with Sammu robed and resting in a bed in the back and Clereen riding alongside the driver*

*as the wagon slips into the busy road in the distance the Gen can be heard asking questions of a Caprini and Kanfel travelling together but they are still questioning as they leave sight's reach with Sammu watching careful to keep his face hidden from the back of the wagon*

*Clereen on the other hand is quite clueless and lost in hunger as the smell of bakeries and butchers is passed by on their way*

-----End of Prologue-----

-----The Journey Begins (Floppy's Turn)-----

*Clereen sits there swinging from side to side with cheer and humming to herself. totally oblivious to any conversation she is supposed to be having to make this less awkward. she is quite happy to be sight seeing this new place in pride of place on the wagon. she waves to passers by. they pay not attention and she gets a little sad. then the man interrupts her*

" so what's a gal like you doin in this neck of the woods?"

food. you?

-Jay's turn-

" This be my commute. A loader for a merchant's trade. Days long away but a warm home to welcome me. A steady pay, a steady day, or at least it should be.

What of ye fellow in the back there? Caprini ain't normal to be seein' around town and I hear the guard asking about thee.

I can answer for myself you know. I'm headed to my scorn kinsmen in Monstera to give aid.

And yes, Clereen is very food focussed. It was all she ever talked about while we were sailing.

So I suppose conversation is what's normal on these journeys and with current events there's quite a lot to say. Let's take turns shall we? Mansfriend up front, what's your opinion on the war? Of Meddia bombing Monstera and since we're in Grenwuld also what's your opinion of the royals here using it as an excuse to wage war on Meddia? I'm from Dong-Wu so I personally don't see eye to eye with Kret, Meddia's bedfellow, to begin with.

-Floppy's turn-

That comment wasn't needed but I'll let it slide. Mansfriend is also not a good term as men are certainly not my friends. I have had nothing but cruelty and abuse from them the moment a set foot into the outside world. I don't know what their problem is with me. I try to be friendly but they never like me and seem to always want to pick a fight and when I don't get angry they just bully me for backing down. not that I wouldn't want to kick their ass but its just not worth it as they always take their side in the end anyway. abuse or more abuse seem to be my only choices. oh wait, I guess I went off topic a bit sorry.

as far as war is concerned I don't care what happens. If they want to fight for stupid reasons let them. Its not like we have any choice in the matter. It's of course sad when other people get caught in the cross fire but what can you do? I certainly can't do anything as no-one would even listen to me and I would most likely end up on the block just for saying anything against the royals or whoever is in charge. I commend you for your efforts in trying to fight it Sammu I really do but I would rather not get too involved. helping people effected is fine I am not up for some royal raid -_-' <:( I guess I am pretty pathetic in the end. useless.
