Greetings and salutations!
My name is Lord Orin. You may call me Orin, if it serves you (which, let’s be honest, it rolls off the tongue a little smoother than tacking on that honorific, doesn’t it?). I’ve been a lurker here on IB for longer than I care to admit, so I know pretty well how things work here. One thing I’ve never really done is get into the whole “internet interaction” thing up ‘til now (or, at least, not extensively nor donning this moniker). So, I find it’s about high time I do a little socializing with those who share my interests, no matter how guilty said pleasures may or may not be.
I’ve also been trying my hand at art of late. That, in truth, is the underlying cause of me suddenly appearing here as more than just a lurker. I’ve done some writing as well, though admittedly nothing more than fan fictions and the like.
I suppose, in a more formal and extensive introduction, this is about where one would describe themselves in a more in depth manner, so I suppose I should get to that, huh?
For starters, I’m 25, a male, and a touch of an introvert. I love video games, but rarely (if ever) play anything multiplayer (even games that allow for such a thing…did I mention I’m an introvert?). I’m a super nerd, modestly intelligent, and love talking about things I am passionate about. I like long walks on short beaches and sunlit dinners. That last sentence was sarcasm; did I mention that I love sarcasm? I have now. I’m single and have given up on love long ago, despite being a hopeless romantic (don’t bother asking how that’s working for me; the answer is “meh…okay, I guess”). I love music of all kinds and would love to nerd out over lyrics with anyone willing to listen (genera? Rock, pop, metal, techno…pretty much anything not exclusively rap/R&B, though honestly, even some of that catches my ear).
Did I miss anything? Probably. Want to know more about me? Ask away. Socializing is kinda why I made my way onto this site, so it would be counterproductive if I turned down any chance to do so.
Anyway, I’ve taken up too much space in this slot, so away I go!
