My Smash Bros wishlist

Have I ever mentioned how much I love the Smash Bros series?  Whenever a new Nintendo console is released, I never feel like it's a true console until it has Smash on it.

And with a new installment coming for Switch, I think I'd like to share with you my top picks for the roster.

10:  Frisk  (Undertale)

With Undertale coming to Switch, we have a decent possibility of one of Toby Foxx's characters coming to Smash, and though I'm not holding my breath for it, it's something I'd love to see.

I went with Frisk because, at the end of the day, it's his/her game.  For a moveset, you could easily make something out of the different weapons and items you find in the underground.

And why not Sans?  Because I somehow feel like Sans would be too lazy for this sort of thing.  He'd be much better as an Assist Trophy IMHO.  After all, his whole shtick in pacifist/neutral runs is to keep an eye socket out for you.

9:  Captain Toad  (Super Mario Galaxy, Captain Toad Treasure Trackers)

Everyone goes on about Daisy this, or Waluigi that, but this little guy got something they didn't; a game of his own.  Moveset-wise, he has his pickaxe, turnip tossing, backpack swinging, and could also be a heavyweight fighter.  His jumping would probably be kind of crap though.

8:  Dixie Kong  (Donkey Kong Country 2, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze)

Again, everyone talks about how K.Rool would be a perfect fit, but they all overlook this cutie pie chimp.  That ponytail of hers could give her some interesting moves to work with.  Plus, always good to have another female in the roster.

7:  Linkle  (Hyrule Warriors)

Unique weaponry is what drew me to Linkle for this list.  Twin crossbows and Pegasus Boots sets her apart from her male counterpart, giving her speed and range in one package.  You could even throw in some Cuccos for extra insanity.

6:  Max Brass  (ARMS)

I admit, I haven't played ARMS outside of the Global Test Punch, (It just didn't appeal to me that much, I'm sorry to say.) but seeing as it's Nintendo's latest IP, it would make a good fit.  I went with Max Brass because out of the roster, he's the one that sticks out to me the most.  A loud, knuckleheaded showoff, who would make a great heavyweight entry with power and reach.  Plus, his theme tune is awesome.

5:  Bandanna Waddle Dee  (Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Kirby Star Allies)

Here's an easy one.  Waddle Dee's attacks in the Kirby games alone could make up a chunk of his moveset right from the start.  And for the Final Smash, he could borrow Dedede's Waddle Dee Army from Brawl.

4:  Incineroar  (Pokemon Sun & Moon)

I'm always down for more Pokemon reps!  Out of the new faces introduced in Gen 7, Incineroar struck me as the best choice.  Being based on a wrestler gives it plenty of moveset potential, and an obvious Final Smash in the form of Malicious Moonsault.

3:  Banjo and Kazooie  (Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie)

With Nintendo and Microsoft getting friendlier with each other these days, this feels like the natural endpoint, especially since the bear and bird duo have had more of an impact on Nintendo consoles than they have with the Xbox line.  So many different moves across their pair of games makes putting a moveset together not too tricky a challenge.

2:  Shantae  (Shante and the Pirate's Curse, Shantae, Half Genie Hero)

So many people want Shantae in Smash Bros, and I'm no different!  Her magic attacks and transformations could make for some interesting mechanics, and we could always use some Shantae music as well.  Dancing through the Danger...  Make it happen!

1:  Rex and Pyra/Mythra  (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)

Beyond any shadow of a doubt, this is my number one pick.  The Driver/Blade mechanic could totally work in game, with Rex being the main fighter, while Pyra or Mythra stands nearby, and provides small buffs with the affinity link.  You could switch between Pyra and Mythra on the go, with either one giving different buffs, and arts like Anchor Shot and Rolling Smash would lend themselves perfectly to Smash.  For the Final Smash?  Burning Sword with Pyra, Sacred Arrow with Mythra.

And of course, need I mention Xenoblade 2's soundtrack?  We wouldn't even need any remixes!  Just use the original themes, and it would be perfect!  (If you haven't heard anything from Xenoblade 2's soundtrack, then listen to this little masterpiece.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPOIQ2HBzOI )

Here's hoping we see gameplay soon!

EDIT:  Well, one out of ten isn't bad!

Hell yes Rex and Pyra/Mythra is on top of my must have list too for Smash.

Also if they are in it, they sure as hell better have the track Counterattack in the game.

What, no King K. Rool?

I went with Dixie over K. Rool because of relevancy.  K.Rool hasn't been seen in anything for almost a decade now, whereas Dixie got a playable role in Tropical Freeze, which is getting a rerelease soon.

Not that I'm saying you couldn't make a moveset from K. Rool.  I just think Dixie has a better shot.

I hope that Shantae gets on there too. also funny thing even tough banjo and kazooie is owned by rare and now owned my microsoft. Rare stated they would still be okay with nintendo using banjo and kazooie.
