Awhile ago, I learned that a friend of mine, that I had not heard from in months, had been arrested. Turns out I had last talked to him only a few days before his arrest. He's since been tried, and is now in jail.
Since I learned all this, I have been thinking about all the friends that I have lost contact with over the years. This has been especially true of all the friends I used to have in furry fandom. I think one of the biggest obstacles I face in trying to get back into furry fandom, is that I don't really know anyone.
The local friends I had I've either fallen out with, they have moved away, or I simply don't know how to contact them.
One friend in particular I find myself worrying about. Most of the rest, I can be pretty sure are at least doing okay. This one friend though wasn't doing all that well the last time I saw them.
Unfortunately, finding this particular person is likely impossible. I am pretty sure they changed their "furry name". (Though, it wasn't really an uncommon one to begin with.) Plus, I think it is likely they have changed their legal name.
Mostly, I am just posting this because its been on my mind, Hopefully, writing it down will help me organise and process my thoughts on this.
