I won $2.4 Million!

**SCAM ALERT!!**
Some idiot from Publishing Clearing House called my ***-1077 number claiming that I Won $2.4Million. Then he wanted all too personal information: Bank Info, Credit Card Number, SS Number, etc., for "Tax Purposes."

I told him, "You got my number, therefore you have my name and address. Send me the check and I will have the bank deal with the taxes."

Little bastard hung up the call.

Signs it was a Scam:

1) Publishing Clearing House? Fake company. The contest company is "Publisher's Clearing House."

2) Mofo spoke more street than the local Street Corner Pharmacist! A true company representative would have been more professional in his/her language, throwing in some legalese.

3) He wanted too personal information for "Tax Purposes." Yeah right. If you won, the bank takes over that responsibility of reporting the taxes.

4) If you won - you get a letter. You never get a phone call.

Learn from this and say no you are not interested and hang up. Or better yet, like I did, tell them to mail you the check!

Ugh.  The scammers are annoying shits, but the legit company is just as annoying.  I tried to sign up for one of their contests, but there are so many hoops to jump through just to get an entry, and the constant e-mails, it's just not worth it to try to win when the odds are actually worse than the lottery, and takes more effort besides.
