I know I'm probably challenging the limits of how long someone can refer to this as a "new" year given that more than one-sixth of 2018 is already in the history books, but I'm hoping folks will cut me some slack on that detail. To say the past two months have been stressful would be akin to calling a root canal without anesthesia an "uncomfortable" experience. It's been a trip, and not the good kind. Now that things are finally calming down (knock on wood) and I have a little spare time to allocate to creative pursuits, I'd like to approach this as a fresh start. Just retcon January and February and all their bullshit right out of existence.
So here we go. Hittin' the 2018 Reset button. The ball's dropped; let's rock!
First Item of Interest: I've decided to start posting work on my Fur Affinity account. I've technically been a member of FA since late 2016, but my profile has really only been used for favoriting and commenting on other members' work up until now. And while I'm still not thrilled with some of the administration's practices and policies, I figure whatever ineffectual protest I was staging by refusing to upload anything wasn't worth cheating myself out of an opportunity to share my stories with a wider audience. I obviously won't be able to display 100% of my catalog on FA, but the pieces I can share will be added to my gallery over the coming weeks and months. If you're a member of FA and would like to watch me on there, the gesture would be mighty appreciated.
Second Item of Interest: Directly related to the above item, I'm celebrating my newly-active presence on Fur Affinity with a brand new exclusive story. Backroom Deal is four thousand and some words of exhibitionistic debauchery featuring Devlin in a wet-n'-wild M/F/M threesome with a pair of sexy strangers. The story will appear on my SoFurry and Inkbunny accounts at a later date, but for the time being you'll have to head over to FA to check it out.
Third Item of Interest: To prevent any more cobwebs from accumulating in the corners over at my other furry hideouts, I'm currently working on another new story that'll soon be published on SF and IB. It's titled The Side You Don't See and is unlike anything I've posted here previously. I'd say more, but you won't have to wait very long to read the finished product; expect to see it up sometime next week.
Last Item of Interest: If you've ever found yourself digging any part of what I do and wanted to help ensure I remain able to do it, good news: I'm now accepting tips on Ko-fi. This is my way of testing the crowdfunding waters to gauge the feasibility of eventually expanding to a more substantial platform like Patreon (I've said it before and will continue to say it: paywalling isn't happening no matter what). I don't expect to make enough through Ko-fi to eliminate any of the bills currently hanging over my head, but perhaps readers' generosity can provide the means for me to commission some new artwork featuring some of my characters. I think those are something everybody can enjoy.
