Dear Gods I'm Old....

So a few full disclosures. I started drawing in the furry community when I was thirteen. Oekaki bbs's paint chats, that sort of thing. Began posting regularly on furaffinity when I was fifteen. I'm in my late twenties now. Maybe that's not that old, but it feels like it qyou woud think that after a over a decade I'd be a much more talented artist than I am xp

The thing that makes me feel more old though is mediums evolving. I've never been able to afford an art tablet (its been on the pipe dreams wishlist since I was seventeen. Any photoshop  or  equivalelnt art programs I've had have been cracked, free, or knock offs which is why I still sketch with a pencil and paper xp. I see my more talented contemporaries hosting streams and drawing for people live and I'm tempted... but a stream from me would be a pretty dull affair xp a sadly low rez webcam trained on a sketchbook with my fat hands obscuring the picture itself. and likely little vocal input from me since I just don't work well that way. Patreon Ko fi etc. crowd funded illustrations, what to make public and what to make exclusive. Do you remember portfolios? I do xp. Being an artist is very different from what it used to be. And when I got ready enough to really try at it, I failed to change with the times.

Thatsa all wanted to get that ioff mychest.

Good new I have a second job now. Starting some time this month. And will still have time to spend on arting. so yay ^_^ Though likely not as much sinceI don't think I'm going to have a weekend anymore

Commissions are still open, feel free to PM me about that and take care ^_^

She nods, and hugs tightly.   That's great about the new job, I'm glad!  You sounded like you really didn't like the previous one. As for portfolios... nope, before my time :P

portfolios...
what do you think your gallery is.

Well in all truth portfolio is whatever you show someone to get them to hire/buy something off you.

As for your age...
it never stops.
You never FEEL like your all grown up.
it's wierd.

That's fair and the more trasitional definition of a portfolio. but at one point (and I noticed this more when I was more on the observer side) artists sold portfolios, some set of tens of finished works not released to the public, which is more what I'm talking about. That practice has pretty well died.

I'm less worried about being all green and more about feeling over the hill and irrelevant, but yeah it never ends, but sometimes you have too at least acknowledge it in my opinion
