It must be really depressing... You sit around on a shelf in a dark cupboard, waiting to be used to clean up random crap on the counter, then you get put back on the shelf for days. Especially if the person who bought you is unhygienic... Then you just sit on a shelf in a dark cupboard. No cleaning, no putting back, nothing to look forward to. Just sitting there pondering your purpose and your strange finger-grip shape.
Then there's the matter of death. Imagine how uncomfortable it is to slowly decay over hundreds of years. If you're lucky you get recycled, and even then its an excruciating melting for you, into a vat of other air freshener containers and various other containers you've never met before. Biodegradability will be the ultimate jealousy among plastic containers. At least they decay faster.
