Happy Christmas! I hope everybody is having a good day! For me, it's probably one of the better ones I've had in years. :D
I did kind of have a Christmas pic planned for a while but I ended up dropping it after several false starts. I decided I'd rather draw nothing than draw something I wouldn't be very happy with. I've been kind of stressed out from work for the past month and I've been pouring all of my free time into my playthrough of .hack//GU Last Recode, which I finally finished a few days ago. Hopefully I'll have the inspiration do do some .hack fan art very soon.
Anyways, onto the negative...
I woke up this morning to a message on Inkbunny that one of my pics has been hidden by the mods because it's a sexually explicit pic of a human/humanoid, which is against IB's acceptable upload policy.
I actually didn't know that, so there's nobody else to really blame but myself for not reading the AUP. And it's not really my place to protest the rules of a free site.
But still, why?
And why has none of my other art been hidden yet? I've been posting there already for like, 2 years.
The mods said that you're allowed to post a cropped screenshot of the art that links to the full pic elsewhere. I'm definitely not doing that, it would be soul crushing every time.
So I don't think I'm going to post any of my art on IB anymore. It really sucks, because I really want to be more sociable and be part of a community, and my art was starting to get a lot of positive attention there.
I'm not really trying to protest it or expecting anyone to be on my side, I just kind of want to get these feelings off my chest. I like to think I put a lot of heart into my art and it means a lot to me, so for something like this to happen really hurts. There aren't really any all-incusive and accessible art communities out there besides fA or maybe Twitter that are really active.
