News Time (B-Day & MFF)

It's November and time for a little update.

First up, birthday. Last year, my birthday happened to land on American Thanksgiving. This year, it's Black Friday. The biggest shopping day of the year, and everybody is out buying me gifts. Heheh. XD

Second, I'm gonna be heading to MFF again. I'm not big on going to the huge cons, as my anxiety likes to kick in hard. But there are people that are going that I would like to meet and probably be the only chance to talk to them. *Shrugs*

I'm gonna be there on the 29th, and going to be rooming by myself at the A-Loft. Again, anxiety thing, while I had a decent time last year, sharing a room is still awkward to me. ._.

Well happy birthday for when it happens and I hope you enjoy the con.

Every time I see posts about cons I fell a little envious as I have no one to go with as no one I know in person knows about my fur side.

Only one person IRL knows I'm a furry, and that was my former roommate here in Portland. Other than him, nobody knows about my furriness, and fondness for cubs. XD

The con was okay last year, just it's really too much for me. I like the smaller cons, like there is one here in Portland, and I have been going to it for the past 3 years.

ya i can understand i don't like big groups neither or going to most events like i have turned down every party i have been invited to that was not a birthday party.

if you don't mind me asking what triggers your anxiety when you are there just it all in general?

A lot of things can make me feel anxious, some days I look outside the window and get to anxious to even go out to throw away the trash.

Damn that's rough the worst I got was strong numbness that closes my hands.

Don't know if you have ever heard of Turmeric but if you get stressed with the anxiety it can calm the stress it's just spice but it has a lot of benefits.

Very busy birthdays then it seems, if they're falling on holidays. Not a bad thing, though ^^

Another MFF participate! Maybe we'll get the chance to say hi? I hope the anxiety isn't too bad for you this time :3

It would be cool if we can meet and say hi. My anxiety is bleah, I've had it for pretty much 30 years now, and it's only gotten worse. *Flops*

Nope, it's off from the main hall and entrance of the hotel. It's a big room where they have tables set up to sit down and rest. They also have drinks and snacks there too.

As I thought, I looked at getting my own room there, but when I did look, they had nothing available for the dates listed. So I ended up around the corner at the A-Loft. A little bit further to walk, but hey, the exercise is worth it.

They really only had suites available when I booked back in JUNE.

These things are starting to become a serious commitment to someone like me who hates rigid schedules.

December 5th, start booking the hotel for next year's MFF. Just book the last week of November and the first 10 days of December. Guarantee that way of having the room you want. XD

I tried that for BLFC. The GSR wouldn't let me book that far out.

I think most hotels allow booking 6-8 months before your stay. Just with the bigger cons, many of the choice rooms are gone within hours if not minutes.
