Why I deleted some of my stories

After receiving a few of those questions through PMs/shouts, I decided to offer an official explanation to this matter.

You see, the majority of the deleted stories are discontinued commissions, or very old works with promising ideas. What both of these categories had in common was that, in some cases, their chapters/sequels (If applicable) had been written months apart from each other. So, instead of a single, cohesive upload that has all the content of a story, you had these little chapters and sequels scattered all around, leading to lots of "Hey, where is the continuation to X story?" or "Are you still planning to continue Y story?"

It is well known that I have a lot of discontinued stories for a number of reasons, the main being the sheer number of mentalities I've sifted through since 2013, when I signed up on this site. I have never been a part of such sprawling community before, so it really took me a while to understand the needs of my fanbase, as well as figure out a way to approach my craft. In a nutshell, since I started to write for this site and up until now, my life has been one accelerated lesson in managing this account.

Now that we're at a point where I feel secure in both method and mentality with which I approach this craft, I want to start correcting some of my past mistakes. I don't want to be known as "The guy with a ton of good but abandoned commission stories" and I also don't want to be "Cheetahs, whose best ideas went into discontinued projects."

Which leads me to the reason I deleted those stories. It is not because I hate them, or because I want to make you miserable. It's because I want to rework all of them into cohesive tales that have a beginning and an end.

Above all, what I wanted to avoid the most were direct comparisons between new and old. When I will eventually repost these stories, I want them to be seen with new eyes. I want them to reflect the progress of my writing, and I want them to be whole instead of mere fragments set into ambiguous universes featuring forgettable characters.

Maybe "Hatchling's Delight" will be a whole novel instead of just a pornographic entry. Perhaps "Yowling in the hills" becomes a character arc into a novel featuring an anthro feline paired with a feral feline. What irks me the most is that all of these ideas had so much potential to them, but due to my "Sex sells; must add sex in everything!" mentality at the time (Or because of commission restrictions) I molded them into somewhat generic stories that everybody on this site writes.

I want to be better than that. I know I can do better than that. So, I need to do this, both for myself and for you. Think of these stories as a remastered version of the previous submissions. They will have better everything, and it'll sure be worth it.

P.S: Although I accept opinions/constructive criticism on this approach, please try to remain civil.

Sounds like a reasonable step forward, I hope it works well for you!

So does this mean you are backing away from some of the sexual stories? Obviously I don't expect you to go artistically celibate but I am interested to see what you plan to do going forward from here.

Not at all. It means that I will try to make sex more meaningful by having it happen at the right time instead of trying to cram it in every chapter of a novel, to give you an example.
