Insane memories 1: The history of humanity

When I was 10, our history class taught us that humanity only existed for less than 1000 years, that people back in the day lived out in the wild like animals, and the average lifespan was only 7 years. Looking back on it, I have to wonder what combination of drugs would have led to this mindset, and how the public education system could become so fucked up to give this concept credence.

the PES is basically nothing more than a way to brainwash young people into thinking that the older times were hell, and that once they finish school, they can go out and get a job because it's handed to them on a platter.

Newsflash: The old days weren't hell. they were a way of life that originated from necessity. The average lifespan was equal to however long YOU kept YOURSELF alive. Also, you don't just "get a job". You have to work your ass off to find someone who is hiring, and then, you have to pray to all known and unknown deities that you'll actually get the position. Even if it's only minimum wage.

Then again, if they actually taught applicable topics in school, there might be a higher suicide rate.... that, and maybe a higher graduation rate and better GPAs.
