Paraphore | Status Update

Next up for the game is Paraphore 0.9.9, the second-to-last update (or the "penultimate" update, if you want to express the same meaning in less letters at the cost of your sentence's clarity. Guys, "second-to-last" is too inefficient, we have to popularize the word penultimate so I can use it casually and people will know what im talking about okay guise okay good thanks.)

Our planned early release date is November 25th, which means Paraphore 0.9.9 should be publically released December 2nd. What the fuck?! 0.3.4 came out publically on October 1st!?!? That's two whole months?!?!??!

Yes, that is two whole months. This update will take 12 days longer than the previous longest, which was 0.3.3 at 54 days.

FallowWing and I apologize, and we promise it will be worth the weight.

But why are we taking so long? Well, firstly, we want to send Paraphore off with a big steamy bang, so that means writing and coding harder than ever. But, secondly...

We've been working on a secret Paraphore-related project for three months now! We've really got the ball rolling on it!! But that means we can't just piddle around and experiment with that project anymore. If we want it to be ready to launch shortly after Paraphore's finale, the only thing left to do is put our cute little kitty nose and fierce, pointy dove beak to the grindstone and spend time making content for it— time that otherwise would have been dedicated to Paraphore.

Thank you for sticking with us for so long and being so patient. As I said in the description of 0.3.3, these two updates will mostly focus on tying up the story, but we also have some big UI changes and quality of life stuff coming, too. And, as always, more art and sex and sexy art~! Spoilers, the next two updates will contain art from Fuf and Aogami. So like get hype. But not too hype, because December is still on the horizon. But still. Get pretty hype.

We don't have a set release date for 1.0.0 yet, but we suspect it may take even longer than 0.9.9. And, of course, we suspect it will be second only to 0.9.9 in terms of dankitude.

tl;dr: The next update, 0.9.9, will be released early on Nov 25th and publically on December 2nd. We're taking so long because we're trying to make 0.9.9 and 1.0.0 the best dang updates ever, and also because our time is split between Paraphore and a secret Paraphore-related project we've been cooking up for a few months now. After 1.0.0, are you 'done', or will you still be making major improvements/additions to it?

There will probably be 1.0.1 a while later with some bugfixes or polish things or (god forbid) some retcons/story tweaks. :P And Fallow might release the source code some time after 1.0.0. But yeah, no major changes planned.

Been so long since the beginning, weird to look back and think, man, I don't wanna read. Reading is boring.

It would be really cool to have more pet options and lots and lots of plot of course >.<
Hopefully the final versions will be full of art for admiration and praise ;^)
