Well i just binge watched all of it.. and I gotta say....

it was really fucking clever... and SUPER adult...

I think they get away with the show becouse the animation style is so extream but it's super on the nose about the whole puburty thing and the Hormone Monsters are fucking HILARIOUS!!!!

I watched it on netflix haha it was awesome am looking forward for season 2 also the hormon monster sounds like otto the bus driver from the simpsons X3

I hate the art style for most this show, Except the Hormone Monsters, well except that gollum one, especially the female one. Both of them actually have really good designs that feel like they don't belong with how ugly eveything else is.

That said, I do think the series really finds it footing as it goes on. Its not a great series, but yeah its actually really clever and does a good job capturing puberty without going too over board with things, generally keeping things somewhat realistic compared to a lot of adult animation nowadays. Though the coach character needs to be retired, he's the worst part of the show imo.

Its not a show I think I can rewatch, but it is a show I wouldn't mind seeing another season of to see where they go from here and maybe improve further. We also need much more Duke Ellington, easily the best character in the series.

There was only one joke with the Coach that got me, at the end of the 3rd episode I believe, where he ends up crashing through the Netflix credits. While its a continuation of the stupid pink eye joke, just the whole random unexpectedness and metaness of that one joke actually made me laugh.

My dad actually recommended that I watch it but, the animation just looked so horrible and ugly to me that I couldn't bring myself to actually start watching it. Then again I suppose I could make a little time to give it a chance but it may take me a bit to get over how it looks to be honest.

give it a shot I realy hated the art style to they do NOT look right at ALL the kids are all suposed to be like 11 and 12 XD thjey look like muten 14 year olds XD

I enjoyed it a lot. You heard them make the comment during the credits of the last episode about how the show is basically kiddy porn but they can get away with it because it's animated, right? The fact that they threw that in there makes me think they're quite aware of the trouble people have gotten into over illustrating underage characters.

It certainly had the same vibe of what Chucky is going through didn't it? Well, not quite. Chucky is much more in touch with and less frightened by his body.

I'm glad I've made him so relatable. It helps a lot when you've held onto the memories of your youth. The creators of Big Mouth obviously consulted a lot of their friends and peers who'd held onto their memories.

I'll never stop with Chucky. Unfortunately the doses might be intermittent sometimes.

One of my friends, Corey Barnes, was a storyboard artist for that show (or is, they kept him on for season 2!) and he's really proud of his work on it!

he should be I am lagit really impressed with the show... and the fucking weird ass art style kinda starts to grow on yu. the writieng and voice work is great and I Liked the episode progression and composition. the way an episode flows and segways.. is the job of the story board artist =p so he did a good job.

tell him im looking forword to season two... and that joke they made at the shows expense in the final episode of season one... nearly made me piss myself.. fucking hormone monster XD

The art I think is intenionally jarring. Kinda like puberty is. Sometimes if the core work is good enough it makes up for non-asthecically appealing art and I'd say the team made the right call.

I had a friend show me the first episode of this. It looked strange but somewhat interesting/funny. I think I'll probably end up watching it eventually. :D
