The Human Anthro War

Shade woke up to the chirping of crickets and bright sun in the bright blue sky. He was in his war camp at the edge of the Anthro and Furry realm. The war had started over a few months ago and he was made Sergeant of his own platoon. General Blacktail sent him to the front lines of the Bridge to fight off any humans that were going to come over. He had sent out other platoons to attack the human cities and to find information on what the humans were planning to do to the furries when they captured them. Shade walked up to his platoon and saw they had already made breakfast and set up a patrol around the camp to make sure no one was going to be attacked. "Morning Men." Shade said in his deep manly voice. The men all looked at him and nodded. "Well today we have to go fight the humans for the first time. General Black tail is sending us in." He continued. The men all nodded again and got up from their spot. Shade was given the rookies of the war. They never really talked but always followed orders. "Today men. we will push back the bloody humans from our front lines!"

"It's been two hours since I sent out Private Birdeye and Private Foxhound to scout the area. What is taking them so long?" Shade complained. The other privates just nodded and continued to look at the road ahead of them. Finally, a furry came into view. "Who is it?" Shade asks one of the privates. "Sir! It's Private Birdeye." One of the recruits shouted. Birdeye ran up to the cover and jumped over it. It seemed he had been running for his life and he was also crying. "Why are you crying, private?" Shade asked. The private regained his breath and replied, "It has to do with Private Foxhound, sir."

"Well spit it out!"

"They took him capture but the worst part is they killed him and..."

"And what?"

"They skinned him and ate him!"

"What?!" Shade was shocked. "That's just like eating a human! What's wrong with them?!" The men shrugged and waited to hear what their leader was going to say next. "Men...tonight we are going to attack that human camp and kill all those damn humans!"

The men cheered with Shade's words and went back to camp to get ready for an attack run.

"There is the camp, sergeant!" Private Birdeye whispered to Shade. They were about twenty yards away from the camp but were in cover so the humans couldn't see them. "Alright so what is the plan sergeant?"

"Well, i want all of you privates to surround the camp and i will go closer and take them out at close range. We don't want to make noise because who knows how many human camps are around this area."

"Yes sir." they all whispered as they moved out through the forest and into their positions. Shade crept closer to the human camp. SNAP! He stepped on a stick and made a loud noise. Shade crouched still for a few moments to see what the humans would react to it.

"Its probably just a squirrel," one of the humans said as he drank his cup of coffee.

Phew. Shade wiped away sweat from his head and continued to creep closer to one of the humans. He was about five feet away when he reached up and snapped the neck of the human, killing him before he could make a sound. The other furries heard the small snap and charged the camp. The humans had no idea what was going on and before they could do anything about it, they were all dead.

"Good job privates!" Shade said as he searched the camp. He heard a small whimper coming from one of the tents. He carefully opened the flap and saw Private Foxhound tied up. "He isn't dead!" Shade exclaimed happily. The other privates picked up Foxhound and untied him. They were happy the humans didn't eat their private friend, but what did they eat?

'Shade! Shade! You must find Terra, your wife, she is in danger. You must find her before it is too late.' The voice said. Shade was standing on a green hill in a forest. He was overlooking a vast valley with a castle at the end of the valley. "I thought the humans didn't have castles anymore." Shade said to himself. He continued to look over the valley and saw a huge human army marching towards him. 'Is this a dream? or is this a vision?' he thought to himself. He couldn't believe his eyes but the voices told him his wife was in danger. What was she in danger against? Was something attacking her? Was she going to be captured? He didn't know how to answer these questions but he knew who to go to. The All-Knowing Hare knew all answers to any question you asked him, but you had to pay a price to get your question answered. That is what Shade and his squad needed to do next. The room started to go dark and heard the voices again, 'Sir get up! We are being attacked. Help sir, HELP!'

Shade awoke with a startle. Private Birdeye was shaking him. "We are being attacked sir!"

The camp was in chaos. Fire was burning the tents and the ground around them, gun shots were being fired off, and the screams of battle echoed through the forest. "Private, what is going on here? How did they start attacking?" Shade asked Birdeye.

"Well sir, I was ummm....busy then an hour later we heard a loud bang sound. Next that we know a mortar was shooting at us. We have lost no one in the squad but some of the other squads have been slain down. Your squad is up behind cover trying to hold back the humans." The Private yelled over the sounds.

"How many humans are there?" Shade asked next.

"Well I figure about two hundred or more."

"Two hundred eh? Well go with the men. I'm promoting you to Private First Class."

Birdeye saluted Shade and ran off towards his squad mates. Shade quickly grabbed his weapon and took cover behind a tree. 'Now I can either flank around the humans or join the rest of the squad?' He thought to himself. He finally made a decision and headed through the forest. He needed to recon ahead to find out where they had their motor squad. Shade turned the corner and quickly found the spot. There were only two of them so he decided to take his shot. BANG! BANG! Shade shot and hit both humans in the head.

PFC Birdeye made it to the other squad members and sat behind cover.

"Where is Shade?" One if the privates asked.

"I think he has a plan!" Birdeye explained. The explosions stopped. "Well I think we know what he was doing! Alright you guys, lets push these humans away!" The other men nodded and all flew out of cover and made perfect shots into the enemy. Moments later, the humans were retreating. "We did it! But where is Shade?" Foxhound cheered.

A few yards away, a figure strutted out of the big dust cloud. It was Shade but he was covered in blood and dust. He had just been in a killing rage and that put fear into the humans.
