ACTA is getting signed in Poland tomorrow. Dark days are ahead for the people there. When will this end? When will it stop? The internet is the last bastion of pure, unadulterated freedom. Yes, that means that certain things are abused. Yes, that means certain things are done illegally.
Yet in life, outside of the internet, this goes on every day. People steal. People even kill in lieu of proper law. ACTA tries to dole out law but it's a lie. The words may be pretty but it's intent is ugly and sinister. Think about it: When ACTA is eventually agreed upon in your country, you'll become a criminal if you have anything on your computer that doesn't belong to you.
Where will these prisoners go? How will they be incarcerated? How many police men will be needed to stop this so called illegal activity?
Answer those questions and you go to see how silly ACTA really is. How unnecessary it really is and how impractical it really is.
