I'm Not Going To Die Woo!

Second doctor filed an official "Difference Of Opinion" which has allowed me to get medicine legally for a few weeks until it's settled by a higher ranking doctor, a specialist. Even got the authorities to pay for it on the proviso that I have to pay them back if it falls through. There is a counter claim about me acquiring drugs illegally however that will take months to get to court and the doctor's trial will take weeks since it's before a panel. I've already been told that until someone dies from the doctor's incompetence they can only fine him and offer me compensation of around a few hundred dollars. He's still allowed to malpractice apparently. That's what my lawyer is telling me. Seems wrong but apparently they've been trying to get the law changed for years. Basically the rich and powerful are protecting themselves by waving around some stupid rights from the last century that say that doctors can't be held accountable for malpractice unless it can be proven that the doctor deliberately went out of their way to do harm. Apparently just before Christmas I'm going to taken to trial about aiding and abetting the illegal drug trade. However I'm going to get my meds back before then so at least I'm not gonna die.
