If you're trying to make your Patreon better, please, for all that is holy, DO NOT force people to pay for your adult-rated content, to get your illustrations in their fullest resolution, and/or to get the source files of your illustrations. I really don't like that kinda stuff, since it makes me think some people are giving in to greed. It actually made me block a few artists' submissions here, including someone that I used to watch.

A lot of artists don't normally post full resolution, and almost no one posts source files, so I'm fine with those being Patreon rewards.
But yeah I pretty much agree otherwise. I unwatch anyone who makes Patreon exclusive content. Most of the time what gets posted in their gallery just gets lower and lower in quality cause they only really care about producing the exclusive stuff. And/or their gallery gets filled with ads and teaser images for their Patreon.

Sure, you may be fine with people having source files as Patreon rewards, but I'd rather they be hosted on Dropbox instead. After all, at least that's free for everyone...save for having to buy extra storage space or something. Also, it's not like artist X can put their full-res images there, too, since Inkbunny has a limit on how big an image can be.

Or, you know, the author could just e-mail source files, etc., to someone if requested to.

But with that aside, I agree with you about no longer following someone once they start posting Patreon-exclusive content or shameless self-promotion of their Patreon. I'd rather not pay a cent on artist X's art unless I had to commission them to draw something for me, and I surely wouldn't want to sift through shameless self-promotion for hours on end.
