so....unexpected...but awesome
i am literally FLYING through this project at UNBELIEVABLE SPEEDS!!!!
we have one track already down and are about half way through the instrumental for the second track. un-freekin-believable 0.o
its like i was born to do this album. everything is just falling into place perfectly...i should probably touch wood... "tap tap"
adding the crowd into the track worked far better then i could have anticipated. and if the rest of the songs come together this easily, i'll have this finished sooooo bloody quickly.
and its not like i'm rushing it either. everything is just...working........"tap tap"
i'm trying to keep it as live like as i can. this means one take for almost everything. no punch in recording...well a bit on the vocals, but its to be expected. but it's showing me how long its been since i've played live. doing the guitar for this latest track did take quite a few attempts at doing it all in one take. and i've learnt some new riffs that i've always wanted to learn but never had a good excuse!
i think one of the bigger challenges will be the solo's, because they're more crowd orientated. and simons solo is still kinda...illuding me in a way. i'm not totally sure how i'm going to go about it. Alvins guitar solo and theodore's drum solo are easy enough...but simon...hmmmmm.
meh thats a while away. i'll get the full songs before i jump into the solo's
but no. i'm really really happy with how this song turned out...i think. i do find that i can love a song while i'm writing it. then i come back to it the next day and its giving me the shits. i guess i'll find out tomorrow if its still good.
but i think i'm going to call it a night in the way of music writing. i've smashed through soooo much, i think i've earnt this break.
also...i found these chips called roadies...they might be the secret to my success...been eating them all day
