Posting Redscale's elsewhere?

Hi guys,
I'm looking at the possibility of posting Redscales to one or more other sites. What sites would you recommend?

In particular, the terms of service / acceptable use policy must allow for pornographic furry Flash files, obviously. I'm looking at using conditional compilation which would allow for different 'editions' of the game with different restrictions on content. For example, on Inkbunny near-human characters involved in sex is not allowed, so for example I can't include a sex scene for ogres. But some other sites disallow underage characters regardless of human-ness and thus would never allow cub content. (This actually gets to one of the side points. Fenoxo's forum disallows linking to games with cub content, so in theory I would get the links in the forum redirected to the edition on the no-cub-allowed site and continue on our merry way that way.)

I'm still not committed to this course of action, but now that I've learned how to use the features of the flash compiler to make it easier, I'm interested in your recommendations.

you could try patreon I wouldn't mind paying a small amount to help out monthly. it seems most either use tfgamessite.com or blogspot.com. some people even have their own site and use sites like mediafire or mega.nz to let people download it.

Why not just upload a version with the "cub" filter permanently switched on? Same deal for humanoids, potentially. If the filter setting already exists then hosting/linking sites can infer that there is an intent to include that type of content; the only difference would be semantic.

I am now building 3 versions off a single double-click:
Inkbunny version with human content not included, 2nd version with cub content (including the filter switch) not included, and debug version that includes both and also enables secret features I put in to help me figure out what's going on. It's super easy to use now that I know, I just need to upload the right version to the right place. Hardest part is that however many sites I pick up will require me to take the time to upload to them. (Which isn't bad if we're talking monthly updates... well, plus the traditional mad rush to patch bugs that people report that weren't caught in the pending version.)

Wait, inkbunny bans human content? You're doing a fantasy game that should have human enemies and npc's, why are you still posting your game here? You can got to e621 and have full freedom.

"Should?" I have to contest that assertion. A setting without them is a more pure fantasy. Dragging them into it is unnecessary and would adversely the integrity of the game-world for me, and probably for some others. Wouldn't you prefer the effort went into diverse and more creative things? You can go anywhere for that shit; don't dilute the niche appeal.

That said, what do I know?

The ban had some affect on my planning, in that I went into planning the game/world with the assumption human-like beings would be banned (at least for anything sexual, which obviously rules out a lot or makes them weirdly incongruous with everyone else). So in that sense it helped shape it the way it is.
It also led to the thought of maybe post-1.0 extending to include humans and similar, such as in a distant land you could travel to to extend your reach and face more content. I may still go that route eventually.

But there's, like, a million things to put in before I would 'need' humans to fill in content. Humans specifically are kind of the generic filler race in a lot of ways, and near human races like elves and such could easily have their distinctiveness subsumed into a furry race within the setting if I care to. For example, if I wanted a stereotypical dwarf race, I could assign their tropes to a furry race such as badgers or minotaurs. (I don't have to even come out and say it, if I keep it in my mind when I write, people will conclude it when they read.) And I'm not bound to keep it pure or in one package.

For the sex scenes, I like what non-human-esque races bring to the scene in terms of variety. I can't think of much a human in particular would bring that wouldn't already be expressed by some of the other races, other than bare skin. Lack of tail?

Anyways, they're certainly not needed. If I decide to include them at some point, I'll do so and just filter as I will. As it stands, the Ogre sex scene is the only thing so far that is banned on inkbunny and thus removed. (and I could add it back in if I just reimagined the ogre physically and gave it a suitable description. Nothing about their role in the game is strongly tied to their humanoid appearance.)

I think tfgamesite allows cubs and such, but some members are not the most supportive (of cubs, lolis, and such), and others would suggest make the characters offically 18+ that look like children (You need a transform of some sort though as to fit with the theme of the site).

I think the legendofkrystal forum might allow 18+ years old that look like children.
(Legend of Krystal forum rules = No illegal content. Pirated content, child pornography, and any digital art where the participants are stated as below 18 years old are disallowed on the forums.)

Furaffinity is a site that allow humans and furry, but not cubs/lolis.

Allthefallen is a loli, shota, and to a minor degree cub fourm. So under game creation in their forum would work. (though I would inform them there is no current cub content.

If there is hypnotics of some sort, or corruption you could do on to the hypnotics-collective. (No cub though. Not even if stated to be over 18.) (So also a no cub version)

Fenoxo's forum would be a good choice, but as stated by you it would need a none cub version.

I would check you self the rules of the sites, but I think I gave accurate info.

FurAffinity seems like my likely choice at the moment.

I forgot to add Hentaifoundry. They have a no underage or underage looking policy, but you can find old underage or underage looking post that they haven't messed with. That is probably do to them being posted before the rule. So you could be sneaky and just not mention the cub stuff or put the version going on FurAffinity on their site.

P.S I would enjoy a version with all (human, cub, and maybe even loli/shota) if possibly. So if you found a way to share that it would be cool.

Sometimes stuff slips under the radar, especially if no one complains.
My favorites list here includes a game (one of the inspirations for this) that includes humans as one of four playable races, as well as human sex partner options, and underage content but seems to have survived just fine on both here and furaffinity.

I just thought of one Pixiv. The site allows underage and furies. So a completely "uncensored" version could go there.

Wait how does Babysiting Cream get away with stuff then? They post crap on this site that is obviously club, I mean right now on my submission page is update for here, as well as some picks of Cream with sonic from that creator...

Cub is allowed here, human is not, with the theory that it is not pedophilia if no humans are involved.
I thought babysitting Cream was Sonic x Cream which is fine for inkbunny rules. But yes there are occasional things that slip under the radar, especially if it isn't obvious from the thumbnail and no one complains.

Is there a reason you haven't gone to e621 yet? More traffic there than most sites.

Just unfamiliar. I think I only ever go there via direct links from KitsuneYoukai. I more or less learn of new sites from following him away from content restrictions.

E621 doesn't have ANY content restrictions. Just properly tag your stuff and it's fair game. You don't have to waist your time with 3 versions of the game on there.

It'd add a fourth one. ;)
They do have restrictions, I just read them today, but nothing that would apply to me.

I highly recommend SoFurry. I'm pretty sure almost everything is allowed that's in the game. It's my favorite furry website and their staff are awesome.

Yeah, i would recommend e621 for full freedom. I think the best thing to do would be to start a patron page so you can support your own website. If you do go that route just contact some other text based game makers and do a recommended page for them and vice versa to get some extra traffic.

Admittably, I'm a terrible source for figuring out what's a good site to hang dry your work. I don't know many places, and I usually get my stuff from Patreon or Gamejolt. You've got a wonderful game going here, and it's one few adult games that caught my interest in more ways then one. If you want it to only be an online body, I guess a blog or your own site might not hurt? Though if you don't mind making it a game people can download and keep on their computer, I actually highly suggest Patreon - They're very liberal with what you do, as long as you ensure to mark it as a Mature Content Game (meaning it'll be hidden, so you'll have to advertise it in various places) But you'd have unrestricted freedom to do as you please - And you can choose to offer free, or paid content however you like (so say if you want to make some little bonuses to the nice souls willing to donate to you, you could). I just really want to see this thrive, I love this game.
