Something To Do With Love is not on target to get funded!

Crossposted from Kabangeh:

The game is Greenlit, but chances are it won't meet the funding goal on Kickstarter (still doesn't hurt to pledge here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kabangeh/something...)

What does this mean for the game?

There's obviously interest going off of download (and sale) numbers of the demo, the Steam Greenlight approval and the people who have pledged so it's kind of a waste to not finish it in some form.

Most likely scenario is a scaled back version of what I had planned focusing on the good bits and at a cheaper price.

If when I finish it it sucks really bad it'll just stay "pay what you want" like the demo.

What does this mean for the merchandise?

Merchandise will still happen. It's tricky to raise funds for a separate project with profits from merchandise because the more merchandise people want the more production costs eat at the budget for that project.

If it's separate then it simplifies things.

If it's not funded can I still get my character in the game?

If it's not funded I'm gonna need to lower my workload as much as possible, though I still need to pay bills and the game still needs to be filled with animal people. I'll keep everyone posted on that.

Anything else?

Yeah, if you want to see the fully realized game pledge here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kabangeh/something...) or just shill the hell out of it to other people. I'm awful at marketing and it physically pains me to do it. I hate doing it a lot. So make up for my complete silence.

Otherwise, don't worry about it. I've got other steady streams of income and won't be going hungry or anything.

Thanks everyone!
